Publisher Platform Manager

We’re looking for a Publisher Platform Manager to join Team Snapchat! Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll work with publishing partners and internal Snapchat teams to improve the quality and viewership of media content on Discover. You’ll take a structured approach to problems and help manage partners in a scalable way by transforming repeated patterns into best practices.
What you’ll do:
- Work with the Data team to:
- Ask the right questions for how publisher content is performing on platform, and translate those trends into best practices
- Identify programming gaps and find partners to onboard to deliver a robust experience for all Snapchatters
- Perform ad hoc analysis on specific publishers to understand their performance and recommend ways to improve their performance
- Work with the internal Snapchat Product team to:
- Improve publisher tools and analytics to drive the right behavior and ecosystem improvement
- Better understand ranking to inform best practices
- Ensure that ranking lives up to our content values
- Develop a best practices portal to empower publishers to improve on their own
- Work with publishing partners to:
- Onboard them to the platform
- Educate them on best practices
- Provide ongoing communication and feedback to keep them informed and excited about the platform
- Help build the ecosystem:
- Develop robust best practices
- Work with the team to structure the program and align the organization to deliver
- Work with the team to evolve to a more scalable and systematic way to manage partners
- Organize publisher summits as well as smaller meet ups to facilitate education and investment in the platform
What we’re looking for:
- A unique balance of editorial judgement and analytical thinking
- Experience in editorial, audience development, and partner program management, particularly in the media sector
- Track record of using analytics and trends to build and develop audiences
- Strong strategic and creative thinker across editorial and product
- Deep understanding of how platforms work, why audiences engage with content, and what content gets users to engage
- Strong design sensibilities
- Someone who’s obsessed with social and mobile understanding the ins and outs of each platform
- Equal parts creative and analytical
- Experience working closely with and managing major media partners
