Operations Lead
We’re looking for an Operations Lead to join Team Snapchat! As a member of the Originals team, you will help oversee various elements of partner productions, asset deliverables, production budget review, and manage all internal operational processes and trackers for projects from pitch through post production and delivery. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with the Originals development team, as well as the production, finance and legal divisions.
What you’ll do:
In conjunction with a development lead, you’ll ensure our partners on over 80+ series are driving the ball forward in accordance with all aspects of pre and post production
Vet production budgets and actively find cost-saving production solutions with partners
Potential to be on set to support, educate and/or enforce best production practices with new partners
Assist and advise external partners on necessary timelines, production deliverables, and manage those reviews and deliveries
Establish new and maintain working systems and processes that support efficient production practices internally and with external partners
Track all Shows related expenses and commitments
Manage internal payment system, payment terms, schedules, invoicing and any other logistical operational duties related to payments of partners
Monitor all Shows deals and major deal points to ensure our external partners and internal development team are acting in accordance with legal terms (they often vary on a partner by partner basis) and that all pilot / series orders / amendments are recorded
Manage the shows master tracker, logging all pitches, cuts, and scripts that come into the Shows team (over 1000+ per year)
Maintain key information in Salesforce for notification of any update related to airdates, development stage, distribution, etc.
Track development team's creative priorities and updates for business development as it relates to all active negotiations
Manage Show asset deliveries with the development lead
Determine what marketing assets are needed from our partners and when, and gather all relevant show information for the Marketing team (descriptions, timing, cuts, etc).
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required
5+ years experience in Production Management / Line Production
Experience and working understanding of scripted, unscripted, and docu content
Experience with cost-effective budgeting for scripted and unscripted series
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree
Exceptional attention to detail, skilled project manager, highly organized
Flexible and collaborative learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to think strategically about issues and problems, leading to recommendations and execution-ready solutions
Experience in Development and/or Post-Production
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
On-set experience during productions
Experience working with unions in the new media space and prepared to be one of the main contacts for union and legal if needed (templates, releases, deal memos and terms, DGA, AFTRA)
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of a company
Experience working with Snapchat
