About the Role

This role will lead the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) program under the leadership of the Chief Compliance Officer and in collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer.

What You'll Do 

  • Manage risk from a conceptual standpoint, put algorithmic interventions in place to prevent, detect and correct theft from members, vendors and/or employees
  • Oversee the data mining of suspicious claims activity (chase alerts), perform background checks on potential offenders, investigate threats that our algorithms detect daily
  • Project and manage the mitigation of financial risks
  • Build and maintain a FWA program in compliance with regulatory requirements inclusive of Third-Party Liability
  • Build and manage a team of investigators and other team members to develop and maintain the program
  • Oversee the investigations of potential FWA and report on investigation findings

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of related experience in fraud, waste, and abuse investigations or equivalent claims auditing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or health care administration preferred
  • Fraud examiner certification preferred
  • Proven experience building a compliant FWA program that protects company assets and government resources
  • Strategic thinker who can look around corners to identify issues of FWA
  • Experience with data analysis techniques
