e-commerce operations manager
Summary: Consumer electronics company based in Los Angeles, Geneva, and Dublin with a global team, developing the next generation of wireless audio devices is looking for a highly skilled e-commerce operations manager. The successful candidate will lead Hed’s online sales operations, logistics and CX strategy for our first consumer electronics product. At launch, D2C ecommerce will be our primary sales channels, so this role will be crucial to our products’ success. The role is based in West Hollywood, CA (currently remote due to COVID restrictions). We will consider people based in other locations on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
Strategic Ecommerce Planning and Execution
Serve as primary analytics support for eCommerce Operations
Lead the development of D2C ecommerce channel along with other online channels, including an Amazon 3P presence.
Partner with marketing, finance, product and R&D to improve margins without compromising CX
Day-to-day management of our e-commerce platforms, fulfilment and logistics - working with a network of external vendors in each of theses key fields (3PL, fulfillment and freight forwarding vendors, logistics software services and outsourced customer service teams)
Work with the product team to turn CX feedback into actionable product insights.
Strategically analyze and apply digital consumer data to initiate ecommerce growth opportunities - working closely with our internal web development team and external web design vendors.
Work with our head of marketing to implement digital marketing tactics to support ecommerce sales.
Work with finance to develop monthly ecommerce forecasts including traffic, sales, conversion and AOV. Provide reporting on ecommerce performance.
Establish KPIs to track performance of processes and use data to formulate insights and recommendations.
Cross-Functional Communication and Collaboration
Ensures data integrity and accuracy; develop and maintain key inventory reports
Competitive Trend Analysis
Product Life Cycle management; leverage pricing and promotional strategies to align sales plan to Department Goals
Manage inventory flow for eCommerce, DTC and marketplace sales channels to maximize profit
Serve as primary analytics support for eCommerce Operations
Qualifications/Experience
BA in business, marketing or related field required
5+ years successful experience D2C ecommerce sales and knowledge of the Amazon marketplace
Experience in selling manufactured consumer electronics goods
Experience analyzing and applying online consumer data.
Experience managing fulfillment and logistics for a D2C ecommerce brand.
Experience managing an external CS vendor.
Strong track record in a high sales growth mode ideally in the audio or consumer tech categories.
Experience working on a distributed, global team.
