Statement of Purpose  

 

Provides senior technical leadership for enterprise infrastructure and cybersecurity operations supporting healthcare services. The position leads architecture design, disaster recovery planning, infrastructure security standards, and major technology initiatives affecting systems that store or transmit regulated data including electronic protected health information. The role ensures infrastructure governance supports HIPAA, HITECH, 42 CFR Part 2, and security practices aligned with the NIST cybersecurity framework. 

 

Major Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Designs enterprise infrastructure architecture supporting secure healthcare operations. 

  • Develops infrastructure security standards aligned with confidentiality, integrity, and availability principles. 

  • Oversee identity and access management architecture supporting least privilege and separation of duties. 

  • Leads disaster recovery design, business continuity planning, and recovery testing. 

  • Oversees enterprise backup architecture and restoration procedures. 

  • Coordinates in response to major cybersecurity incidents and infrastructure failures. 

  • Ensures infrastructure logging, monitoring, and audit evidence to support regulatory and security investigations. 

  • Oversee modifications to infrastructure and confirm adherence to established change control processes. 

  • Evaluates infrastructure technologies and security improvements. 

  • Provides technical oversight and mentorship to junior Network Administrators. 

  • Participate in safety programming to promote client and staff safety 

  • Maintain professional boundaries and standards.  

  • Treat clients with respect, care, and concern.  

  • Comply with confidentiality requirements at all times.  

  • Maintain health and safety standards of facility. 

  • Recognize personal biases working within diverse populations.  

  • Maintain cultural sensitivity at all times. 

  • Maintain familiarity with BHS policies and procedures and other applicable regulations; perform job duties accordingly. Represent BHS well in all contacts. 

  • Attend meetings and training courses and participate in committees as assigned.  

 

 

Network Administrator III Competencies and Performance Expectations 

  • Conducts rootcause analysis and deploys longterm solutions. 

  • Evaluates new tools or technologies to improve network efficiency. 

  • Uses scripting and writes basic programs to automate processes and workflows. 

  • Ensure compliance with organizational data protection and cybersecurity standards. 

  • Participates in or leads planning for network enhancements and strategic upgrades. 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. 

  • Must be able to move and install computer equipment. 

  • Ability to complete the above major tasks, duties and responsibilities 

  • Ability to demonstrate professional judgment and decision-making 

  • Ability to adhere to professional standards 

 

Prerequisite Qualifications  

The following are the qualifications required to perform the essential functions of this position. Qualifications may be subject to modification based on the Americans with Disabilities Act. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, advanced degree, or associate degree with certifications. 

  • Preferred minimum of 5 years of IT support experience (Windows, Desktop, Networking, Data/Voice). 

  • Ability to work collaboratively and provide strong customer service. 

  • Possesses expertise in network management, hardware and software upgrades, network design, and infrastructure planning for local area networks (LANs). 

  • troubleshooting network outages and user troubles and the ability to communicate clearly.  

  • Provide guidance to users regarding the proper response to suspicious emails and requests for confidential information. 

  • Possess proficiency in programming scripts to execute internal functions, along with a strong understanding of PowerShell. 

  • California Driver’s License required. Must have liability insurance if driving a personal vehicle on BHS business.  

  • Vision, hearing, verbal communication skills, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination must be adequate for performance of job duties.

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)  

  • CompTIA Security+  

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) 

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert  

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator
