The National Operations Manager, Commercial Risk serves as a recognized subject matter expert responsible for optimizing operational processes and ensuring service excellence across the Commercial Risk segment nationally. Position Summary

The National Operations Manager, Commercial Risk serves as a recognized subject matter expert responsible for optimizing operational processes and ensuring service excellence across the Commercial Risk segment nationally. This role drives consistency in workflows, compliance, and client servicing standards, while partnering with regional leaders and cross-functional teams to implement best practices and operational improvements. The incumbent operates with significant autonomy and influences enterprise-level decisions related to operational efficiency and client experience.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement national operational standards and best practices for Commercial Risk servicing and support functions.
  • Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and enhance productivity across regions.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards; monitor risk and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with IT and business leaders to optimize agency management systems and leverage automation tools for operational efficiency.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting dashboards to measure operational effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with regional operations leaders, client service teams, and senior management to align operational initiatives with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to regional teams on operational policies, procedures, and system utilization.
  • Lead operational integration efforts during mergers, acquisitions, or organizational restructuring.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of operational best practices and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret data and drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with agency management platforms.
  • Ability to influence and lead cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, risk management, or related field.
  • 6–8 years in insurance brokerage operations, with demonstrated expertise in Commercial Risk and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance workflows, compliance requirements, and agency management systems.
  • Experience with national or multi-regional operational oversight and change management initiatives.
