KBR is seeking a mid-level Data Scientist to join the KBR team in support of a Science and Engineering Technical Support contract for the United States Space Force (USSF). This is a full-time position requiring availability for on-site access to the Aerospace complex in El Segundo CA. 

The Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) Space Enterprise Integration Model team is looking for an energetic and innovative Data Scientist to work with Model-based System Engineers to support data analysis, extracting data from models, developing custom scripts, dashboards and visualizations. 

The candidate will work side by side with SSC personnel in the performance of engineering-related tasks applying critical thinking concerning solutions to current threat environments for National Security Space (NSS) customers. This position requires an active TS/SCI clearance. The successful candidate must also be clearable to SAP.

Required Qualifications:
• TS/SCI
• Working on-site in El Segundo (no remote)
• 2+ years experience
• Scripting in Python and Java to extract elements, connectors, item flows, and metadata 
• Navigating object hierarchies, parent-child tree structures, port mappings, and connector endpoints to output tabular data
• Query and extract backend Sparx EA model data using SQL
•  Extracting, mapping, and transforming semi-structured object data into tabular formats
• Experience building dashboards/visualizations in tools such as Power BI or Tableau
• Automating user interaction with Java Swing dialog to let users select file and export
• Creates new data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data
• Creates user-friendly reports using various databases and systems

Preferred Qualifications:
• Jython and Groovy scripting
• Experience with MBSE data from tools such as Cameo/No Magic System Modeler/EA or Sparx EA
• Experience building dashboards/visualizations in the Palantir Foundry environment
• Experience working with JIRA/Confluence
• Experience in Space operations/acquisition
• BS in Data Science

Location: On-site
Travel Requirements: Minimal

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $135-150k

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
