The Master Planner manages the Master Production Schedule, aligning customer demand with production capacity and material availability to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.
Under direct supervision, the Master Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining the Master Production Schedule to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures alignment between customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and inventory objectives to achieve on-time delivery, efficient utilization of resources and cost control. This role is onsite in Irvine, CA. Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop, publish, and maintain the Master Production Schedule to support manufacturing requirements
- Convert demand forecasts, customer orders, and sales plans into executable production plan
- Balance production capacity, labor, and material constraints to meet service and cost goals
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and Sales to ensure schedule alignment
- Lead or actively participate in S&OP / MPS review meetings
- Monitor inventory levels, WIP, and finished goods to optimize inventory turns and minimize excess or obsolescence
- Identify risks related to material shortages, capacity constraints, or schedule changes and drive mitigation plans
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to generate production signals, manage changes, and maintain data accurate
- Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and phase-in/phase-out planning
- Track and report key metrics such as schedule adherence, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and capacity utilization
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and cross-functional communication.
- Perform other related duties as required by Plant Manager

- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning and reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in master planning or production planning within a manufacturing setting
- Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, routings, lead times, and capacity planning
- Proven ability to analyze data, manage complexity, and make effective planning decisions
