Marketing Leader (Hands-On) - Growth, Demand Generation & Strategic Partnerships

About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven and hands-on Marketing Leader to build and scale our global marketing function. This role is ideal for a marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with execution excellence and thrives in a fast-paced software environment.

You will be responsible for driving demand generation, accelerating brand awareness, expanding digital and social media presence, and building high-impact partnerships that contribute directly to pipeline growth and revenue. This is not a pure management role. We are looking for a leader who is equally comfortable defining strategy, launching campaigns, creating content, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating closely with sales and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

Growth & Demand Generation

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy focused on pipeline generation and revenue growth.
  • Own lead generation programs across digital, content, email, webinars, events, and partner channels.
  • Manage marketing funnel performance, from awareness through opportunity creation.
  • Drive account-based marketing (ABM) initiatives targeting key industries and strategic accounts.
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance using data-driven insights and analytics.

Digital & Social Media Marketing

  • Lead the company's social media strategy across LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
  • Develop compelling content that strengthens brand awareness and market positioning.
  • Manage website messaging, SEO, SEM, paid campaigns, and conversion optimization initiatives.
  • Track engagement, lead generation, and conversion metrics to continuously improve performance.
  • Build thought leadership programs for executives and subject matter experts.

Partnership & Ecosystem Development

  • Establish and grow strategic partnerships with technology vendors, consulting firms, industry associations, and channel partners.
  • Develop joint marketing initiatives, co-branded campaigns, webinars, and events.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market reach through alliances and partner networks.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to maximize partner-driven pipeline opportunities.

Marketing Leadership

  • Build and scale marketing programs that support company growth objectives.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.
  • Manage marketing budget and evaluate ROI across all initiatives.
  • Implement processes, reporting, and KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging marketing technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of B2B marketing experience, preferably within a software, SaaS, data, AI, fintech, cybersecurity, or technology company.
  • Proven success driving demand generation and measurable revenue growth.
  • Strong hands-on experience with digital marketing, content marketing, email marketing, paid media, and social media.
  • Experience building and managing strategic partnerships and alliance programs.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent content creation and storytelling abilities.
  • Experience working closely with sales teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-growth SaaS or enterprise software environments.
  • Knowledge of ABM strategies and modern GTM methodologies.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and similar tools.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, and external marketing partners.
  • Prior experience building a marketing function from the ground up.

What Success Looks Like

  • Increased qualified pipeline and marketing-sourced revenue.
  • Strong social media presence and thought leadership in target markets.
  • Growth in inbound demand and digital engagement.
  • Strategic partnerships that contribute measurable business impact.
  • Scalable marketing programs aligned with company growth objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on marketing leader who enjoys building, executing, and scaling modern marketing programs while making a direct impact on company growth.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
