The Role:

Contributing to Dine Brands’ development growth, the Analyst, Market Planning will interpret big data to guide real estate development strategy through comprehensive analysis, the communication of growth opportunities across the system, and the use of analytical tools that support decision making.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify growth opportunities by conducting market and competitive assessments
  • Provide strategic insights to optimize market penetration
  • Deliver high-level summaries that distill complex analysis and insights in simplest form
  • Develop and present compelling market opportunities with appropriate support materials
  • Build new restaurant site packages, with detailed maps, aerials, demographics, competitor trends, and impact analysis, to be presented at review committees  
  • Estimate and analyze sales performance of new restaurants to ensure accurate forecasting
  • Liaise with internal and external technology teams to ensure data and mapping software are updated and accurate
  • Maintain strong knowledge of markets and understanding of Dine’s coverage gaps, target markets, trends, projected home/work/retail growth, competition, and other factors that build promising real estate opportunities
  • Monitor and analyze competitor activities, market share, and positioning to identify competitive strengths and weaknesses, and develop strategic recommendations
  • Conduct continuous market monitoring and analysis of trends, needs and other key variables; proactively recommend corrective action when appropriate
  • Target Salary $75k-90k depending on experience

Skills & Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree in Geography/Real Estate/Urban Planning, or equivalent experience
  • Development-related experience in retail/restaurant industry
  • Familiarity with mapping platforms, Salesforce, Microstrategy
  • Capability to address problems proactively and demonstrate a sense of urgency
  • Capability to work efficiently while prioritizing thoroughness and accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
