Description
The Managing Consultant Engineer is responsible for leading innovative solution and product design across Hybrid Infrastructure environments. This role applies deep technical expertise to analyze client requirements, develop IT services offerings, and deliver high-value solutions across complex, multi-technology environments. The role also supports large-scale engagements across multiple geographies and serves as a trusted technical advisor to clients.
What you will do:
* Lead project teams, directing coworker and client teams in solution design and development.
* Provide leadership in developing business cases, financial justifications, and solution benefits for client-facing deliverables.
* Proactively identify and escalate budget issues during project execution.
* Perform Quality Assurance reviews of Statements of Work based on size, complexity, and cross-brand requirements.
* Conduct peer reviews of technical deliverables to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
* Maintain client relationships as a trusted technical advisor and primary communication point across teams and clients.
* Recommend solutions and support account teams in developing proposals, quotations, and presentations.
What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's degree required and 7 years of IT Infrastructure experience including 3 years of experience with large enterprise cross-brand projects OR 11 years of work experience required including 7 years of IT Infrastructure experience including 3 years of experience with large enterprise cross-brand projects.
* Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational, time-management, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
* Ability to manage and escalate technical issues to appropriate vendor support teams.
* Proven ability to maintain client relationships as a trusted technical advisor and lead cross-functional communications.
* Experience reviewing and editing technical deliverables from engineering and consulting teams.
* Ability to analyze client requirements and develop IT services offerings across multiple technology solutions.
* Experience supporting account teams with development of proposals, quotations, and presentations.
* Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills with experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective.
* Proven ability to engage across multiple levels, functions, cultures, and geographies.
* Ability to research complex technologies, evaluate alternatives, and present recommendations aligned to client needs.
* Ability to operate effectively in situations involving change, ambiguity, and risk.
* Demonstrated ability to apply lessons learned and adapt to new technologies.
* Ability and willingness to work beyond standard hours, including weekends, as needed.
* Ability and willingness to travel as needed to CDW or client locations.
* Valid U.S. driver's license. Pay range: $138,000.00 - $193,200.00 depending on experience and skill set. Annual bonus target of 10% subject to terms and conditions of plan.
