Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking an Manager Tool Engineering 2 as a Control Account Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in El Segundo, CA, where technology and teamwork come together.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Tooling organization, working collaboratively while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.

Essential Job Functions:

As a CAM, you will coordinate with program and operations leadership across functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical objectives. Develop and deliver presentations to customers, senior leaders, and other stakeholders relative to tooling cost performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Direct supervision/management of staff
  • Lead and develop a high performing team. Provide objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines and general policies
  • Estimating future proposals impacting tooling SOW
  • Creating Basis of Estimates (BOE) documenting work scope, and estimate methodology, and pricing
  • Tracking budget actuals against predictions and financial performance in accordance with EVM standards
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate technical, cost, and schedule risks
  • Document and manage risk and opportunity registers from initial identification through closure
  • Coordination with Global Supply Chain for purchase order, change order, and supplier invoicing management
  • Collaborating across program and functional teams to ensure accurate data and on-time execution
  • Analyze data and prepare leadership briefings to Homeroom Leaders, Program Leaders, and Customers
  • Management of program direct, capital, and indirect projects and budgets

Basic Qualifications:  

  • Must have bachelor’s degree AND 5 years of related engineering experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment OR a Master’s degree AND 3 years of related engineering experience in tooling, manufacturing/operations, assembly lines, and/or implementing technology into a production environment
  • Must have 2 years of leadership or management experience
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access
  • Ability to collaborate between self-organizing and cross-functioning teams 
  • Must have Supplier management experience
  • Must have Cost management experience

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Active DoD Secret clearance 
  • STEM Degree
  • Familiarity with data evaluation tools such as MS Excel and MS Project
  • Knowledge of data gathering, cleansing, and transformation techniques. Capable of gathering large amounts of data, evaluating and identifying trends
  • Capable of compiling and presenting data to multiple levels of leadership and customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite 
  • Current Special Program Access (PAR)
  • Control Account Manager (CAM) Certified
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Earned Value Management System
  • Certification with using earned value management system (EVMS) for tracking project financials
  • Experience managing financial large scale financial portfolios within the aerospace, automotive, or production related industry
  • Experience implementing and leading agile principles and methodologies
  • Experience with data digitalization and trend identification

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,600.00 - $219,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
