About the Role

Ten-X is seeking a strategic, hands-on Manager to shape and execute the marketing vision for our commercial real estate marketplace. You will serve as the manager of the marketing function—setting strategy, managing resources, measuring business impact, and partnering closely with Sales and other leaders to accelerate growth. This is a true player-coach opportunity for a leader who is equally comfortable guiding a team and personally driving campaigns, content, account-based marketing, and funnel analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the Ten-X marketing strategy and go-to-market plan in support of business growth
  • Own the marketing budget and allocate resources across centralized CoStar shared services and external partners
  • Translate marketing performance into clear business insights and executive-level reporting
  • Partner with Sales leadership to align priorities, messaging, campaigns, and the end-to-end customer journey
  • Lead seller marketing and account-based marketing strategies for institutional sellers, applying insights provided by BI and CoStar Analytics
  • Remain actively involved in execution, including campaign development, content creation, messaging, and funnel analysis
  • Coordinate with CoStar shared services, including search marketing, design, analytics, and brand—and manage agency and vendor relationships to deliver high-quality work
  • Use AI tools in your own workflow — for campaign development, content creation, and funnel analysis — to increase the speed and quality of marketing output and share effective practices with the team

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, from an accredited, not-for-profit, in person, University or College
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, including experience leading teams or significant cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated success as a player-coach who can set strategy and personally execute campaigns, content, or analysis
  • Strong executive communication, influence, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing budgets, agencies, vendors, and shared-service relationships
  • Practical AI fluency in your own working process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a marketplace, commercial real estate, technology, software, data, or B2B platform business
  • Familiarity with commercial real estate or auction and marketplace dynamics
  • Experience delivering results with lean teams that rely on centralized resources or shared services

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
