Role Overview

The Manager, Marketing Versioning supports the operational execution of global marketing production, versioning, localization, and asset delivery across central and regional marketing teams. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Versioning, this role partners with Central Creative and cross-functional teams to transform approved creative into global marketing-ready static and video assets, overseeing production coordination, versioning, asset trafficking, delivery dependencies, and operational handoffs to ensure regional teams globally have clear access to final, approved assets ready for activation.

The Manager oversees day-to-day production coordination across static and video versioning workflows, including project intake, scheduling, asset trafficking, localization routing, delivery dependencies, version control, and operational handoffs. The role partners closely with Central Creative teams to support production execution and with regional Marketing Operations teams to provide consistent localization workflows, standards, and operational guidance.

Working under the strategic direction of the Director, the Manager supports implementation of departmental workflows, SOPs, tools, repository standards, and process improvements that reduce friction between creative production and regional marketing activation while strengthening consistency, scalability, and operational visibility across Marketing Versioning Operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Director of Marketing Versioning in translating departmental priorities into day-to-day operational execution across global marketing production and versioning workflows.
  • Coordinate the creation, preparation, versioning, and delivery of global marketing-ready static and video assets for regional marketing teams to use across campaigns, platforms, and market activations.
  • Partner with Central Creative teams to support production and transition approved creative into scalable global assets and versions that meet established marketing, technical, and distribution requirements.
  • Support regional marketing teams globally by ensuring teams have clear visibility into available assets, approved versions, asset locations, readiness status, and applicable usage or production requirements.
  • Serve as an operational Center of Excellence for regional Marketing Operations teams, providing guidance, established workflows, production standards, versioning requirements, localization processes, and best practices for adapting and activating global marketing assets.
  • Oversee project intake, scheduling, prioritization, production coordination, and asset trafficking while monitoring timelines, dependencies, outstanding deliverables, and risks across concurrent global campaigns.
  • Coordinate localization and market-specific adaptation requirements when needed, ensuring localized versions remain aligned with approved global creative, production, and delivery standards.
  • Manage operational handoffs and trafficking of finished marketing assets between Central Creative, Marketing Versioning Operations, regional teams, and other production or distribution partners.
  • Maintain operational visibility into asset readiness and delivery status, proactively identifying missing assets, version conflicts, dependencies, and other issues that could impact regional campaign activation.
  • Support asset repository governance by ensuring marketing assets are appropriately organized, tagged, tracked, and maintained with accurate metadata and clear final-version identification.
  • Implement and maintain departmental workflows, SOPs, operational documentation, and production standards established by the Director to ensure consistency and scalability across global Marketing Versioning Operations.
  • Evaluate production and asset workflows and recommend improvements that increase efficiency, traceability, asset discoverability, and ease of use for central and regional marketing teams.
  • Provide operational reporting and project visibility to support departmental planning, production prioritization, capacity management, and identification of delivery risks.
  • Partner across Creative Services, Brand Marketing, Campaign Marketing, regional Marketing teams, Media Management, Production, and other cross-functional teams to maintain alignment on asset requirements, timelines, readiness, and deliverables.
  • Support implementation of new tools, technologies, repository enhancements, and workflow improvements that strengthen the movement of marketing assets from central creative production through global regional activation.
Key Competencies
  • Strong project, production workflow, and asset management skills within a fast-paced global marketing or creative production environment.
  • Experience managing the preparation, versioning, trafficking, organization, and delivery of marketing assets across multiple teams, markets, and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of static and video marketing production workflows, including asset versioning, delivery requirements, repository management, and regional adaptation.
  • Working knowledge of localization and market-specific adaptation workflows as part of broader global marketing production.
  • Experience supporting global or regional marketing teams and establishing scalable processes, standards, and best practices across geographically distributed stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of digital asset organization, metadata, version control, asset readiness, and repository governance.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to coordinate Central Creative, production, operational, and regional marketing stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify production risks, resolve asset and versioning issues, and escalate challenges with appropriate context and recommended solutions.
  • Proficiency with production systems, project management tools, asset repositories, and operational platforms used to track and distribute global marketing assets.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on operational consistency, asset traceability, scalability, and reducing friction between creative production and regional marketing activation.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing production, AV production, localization, creative operations, or project management within the media, entertainment, streaming, or post-production industry.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting or managing production operations, cross-functional teams, and global marketing workflows.
  • Working knowledge of AV production, localization, asset management, versioning, and digital content delivery across multiple distribution platforms.
  • Proficiency with Wrike, Airtable, media asset management systems, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, Adobe Creative, etc.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
