Manager, Internal Communications (Health Information Systems)

The Impact You Will Make in This Role 

As Manager, Internal Communications you will support Solventum’s Health Information Systems (HIS) business. You will help shape how employees across this innovative software and services organization understand strategy, stay aligned to priorities and remain engaged in a rapidly evolving and highly collaborative environment. 

 

You will work closely with leaders across HIS to translate business priorities into clear and accessible communications that support culture, transformation and operational excellence. 

 

Here you will make an impact by: 

 

Business Communications Strategy 

  • Supporting development and execution of integrated communications strategies that help employees understand HIS business goals, product direction, transformation milestones and cultural priorities 

  • Serving as a trusted advisor to HIS leaders by providing thoughtful guidance on messaging, change communications and employee engagement 

  • Ensuring all communications reflect the HIS narrative, business strategy and Solventum brand while meeting the needs of diverse technical and nontechnical audiences 

  • Providing interim communications support for the Drinking Water Filtration business as needed 

 

Employee Alignment and Engagement 

  • Creating communications that explain business performance, strategy updates, customer value stories and key initiatives across product management, engineering, commercial teams and operational functions 

  • Supporting town halls, leadership visibility moments, transformation updates and recognition programs 

  • Developing clear and accessible content for global and cross functional audiences to promote alignment and connection across the business 

 

Content Development and Execution 

  • Writing and editing high quality communications including leadership messages, organizational announcements, presentations, FAQs, intranet content and talking points 

  • Translating technical or complex concepts into simple, relevant and actionable messages 

  • Managing editorial calendars and coordinating communications timing with enterprise partners to ensure consistency and clarity 

 

Stakeholder Partnership 

  • Building strong relationships with leaders and teams across HIS including product, engineering, marketing, HR and operations to ensure communications are accurate, integrated and effective 

  • Partnering with Global Communications colleagues and other business communicators to promote alignment and share stories that highlight HIS contributions to Solventum 

  • Equipping people managers with communication toolkits and resources to increase confidence and consistency in local communications 

  • Gathering employee feedback and monitoring communication performance to continuously improve clarity, engagement and impact 

 

Your Skills and Expertise 

 

Required qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, public relations, journalism, business or a related field 

  • Eight plus years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications or related roles 

 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Experience supporting technical, software, digital health or regulated business environments 

  • Ability to translate complex, operational or technical information into relevant and accessible content 

  • Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills tailored for diverse audiences 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment 

  • Experience partnering with leaders in matrixed or cross functional teams 

  • Proactive mindset with strong critical thinking, collaboration and problem solving skills 

  • Experience in healthcare, medtech, software or other regulated industries 

  • Familiarity with change management principles and how they support employee communications 

 

Work location: Remote 
 

Travel: Up to 15 percent 
Relocation assistance: May be authorized

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $143,200 - $196,900, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
