Job Description

As a Manager, Growth Marketing, you will be responsible for driving subscriber acquisition for the STARZ OTT streaming service through performance-driven channels and strategic partnerships. This role is highly analytical and execution-focused, requiring hands-on management of Google Adds, affiliate and partner channels, as well as ownership over forecasting and performance reporting.
You will help support the ownership of gross adds delivery and efficiency targets, including SAC, and will be responsible for pacing the business to monthly goals. This includes proactively identifying risks and adjusting strategy in real time.
The ideal candidate is both a strong operator and a strategic thinker - someone who can manage campaigns end-to-end, interpret performance trends in real time, and translate data into actionable insights that improve efficiency and scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day management of affiliate and partner channels, including CJ, Impact Radius, banking partners, and post-transactional partners
  • Execute and optimize performance marketing campaigns across Google Ads (Search, PMax, YouTube, Demand Gen)
  • Own delivery against gross adds targets and manage performance against SAC/CAC efficiency goals
  • Lead weekly and weekend performance communications, including reporting on pacing, risks, and key drivers
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve performance and efficiency
  • Launch and manage A/B tests across creatives, landing pages, and campaign structures
  • Act as a strategic thinker and optimize large-scale digital marketing campaigns across performance-oriented channels such as Google and affiliate networks
  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and work toward ROI goals, with a focus on maximizing LTV and reducing CAC
  • Maintain a strong command of channel performance and act as the first line of defense in identifying shifts in performance trends
  • Get hands on with large data sets: build models to analyze trends and develop strategic recommendations with the goal of improving performance
  • Work cross-functionally with Creative, Product & Engineering, Finance, and Brand teams

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • Independently managing affiliate and partner channels with clear understanding of performance levers and optimization opportunities
  • Fully ramped on STARZ growth model, including key drivers of gross adds, SAC, and paid vs organic mix
  • Owning weekly and weekend performance reporting with clear, concise communication of pacing, risks, and opportunities
  • Identified and acted on at least 2–3 meaningful optimization opportunities that improve efficiency or scale
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively flag risks to target and recommend actionable solutions
  • Established strong cross-functional relationships with Creative, Product & Engineering, and Finance

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in performance or growth marketing
  • Hands-on experience managing affiliate platforms such as CJ and Impact Radius
  • Strong proficiency in Google Ads and Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, forecasting models, and data analysis
  • Experience owning performance metrics such as CAC/SAC, conversion rates, and volume targets
  • Experience building models to forecast performance and inform budget allocation
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations
  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and campaign optimization
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present performance insights to cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment

Compensation

$110,000 - $130,000

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
