As Growth Marketing Manager, you will own how Paraform engages, retains, and grows users across both sides of our marketplace — companies hiring and recruiters fulfilling roles. You'll design and run the programs that turn signups into active customers, active customers into power users, and power users into advocates.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role. You'll partner closely with the VP of Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success to build the lifecycle infrastructure that drives activation, retention, and expansion.

Success in this role means:
  • New users activate faster and reach value sooner

  • Existing customers do more on the platform — more roles posted, more candidates submitted, more referrals

  • Lifecycle programs become a top pipeline source within 12 months

  • The marketing team has a clear system for moving users through the funnel, with continuous improvement

What you'll own:
  • Own end-to-end CRM lifecycle strategy across onboarding, activation, adoption, retention, and expansion — for both companies and recruiters

  • Design and run lifecycle programs including re-engagement, email nurture, referral, win-back, and churn mitigation

  • Build and own the referral program end-to-end, including incentive design, trigger logic, and partner enablement

  • Own activation and retention for our new PLG sourcing product — including onboarding flows, in-product nudges, and lifecycle email

  • Build segmentation and cohort frameworks to differentiate communication by customer type, lifecycle stage, and behavior

  • Own HubSpot as the primary marketing automation platform — workflows, A/B tests, segmentation, deliverability

  • Define lifecycle KPIs (activation rate, engagement, retention, expansion) and report on them to leadership

  • Partner with Product on in-product lifecycle moments and with Sales/CS on customer-facing programs

What we're looking for:
  • 3-5+ years of B2B SaaS lifecycle, customer marketing, or growth marketing experience

  • Hands-on builder of lifecycle infrastructure — you've designed the logic, not just executed someone else's playbook

  • Strong analytical chops — comfortable with cohort analysis, funnel diagnosis, and A/B testing

  • Sharp writing — can take a brief and turn it into copy that converts

  • Comfort operating in ambiguity with minimal infrastructure

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
