The Manager, AI Governance & Operations is responsible for facilitating SPE's AI governance processes, portfolio management activities, operational cadence, and enterprise AI programs. Reporting to the Vice President, AI Strategy and Operations, this role serves as the primary operational lead for the AI governance framework and supports execution of strategic AI initiatives across the enterprise. 

The Manager acts as a key connector between business stakeholders, workstream leaders, governance forums, and executive leadership, ensuring AI initiatives are effectively coordinated, governed, and positioned for successful adoption and value realization. 

Key Responsibilities 

Governance Leadership & Facilitation 

  • Serve as the primary operational lead for SPE's AI governance processes and operating cadence.  
  • Manage intake, review, prioritization, approval, and tracking processes for AI opportunities and initiatives.  
  • Coordinate activities of the AI Working Group, including agenda development, meeting facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and action tracking.  
  • Support preparation and facilitation of AI Executive Board meetings, including briefing materials, decision tracking, and follow-up activities.  
  • Maintain governance processes, workflows, templates, documentation, and operating procedures.  
  • Continuously improve governance mechanisms to balance innovation, speed, and responsible oversight.  

Portfolio & Program Management 

  • Coordinate execution across AI initiatives, workstreams, and strategic programs.  
  • Maintain project plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, action items, and status reporting.  
  • Support portfolio prioritization, resource planning, and operational reviews.  
  • Monitor initiative progress and escalate issues as appropriate 
  • Develop reporting materials for leadership and governance forums.  

AI Initiative Delivery 

  • Lead or support implementation of AI pilots, initiatives, and transformation efforts.  
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, requirements gathering, process assessments, and implementation planning activities.  
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams involved in AI initiatives.  
  • Support business case development, vendor evaluations, and rollout planning.  
  • Assist in scaling successful solutions across the organization.  

Adoption, Communications & Enablement 

  • Coordinate AI communications, awareness campaigns, training programs, and adoption initiatives.  
  • Support organizational change management and stakeholder engagement efforts.  
  • Capture and communicate best practices, success stories, and lessons learned.  
  • Support development of playbooks, guides, and enablement materials.  

Team Leadership 

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Analysts.  
  • Foster collaboration across business, technology, and operational teams.  

Qualifications 

Required 

  • 5–8 years of experience in strategy, operations, program management, transformation, consulting, PMO, or related disciplines.  
  • Strong program and project management capabilities.  
  • Experience facilitating governance forums, steering committees, or executive reviews.  
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  

Preferred 

  • Experience supporting AI, automation, digital transformation, or innovation programs.  
  • Familiarity with organizational change management and adoption practices.  
  • Experience within media, entertainment, technology, or consulting environments.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $129,600 - $162,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
