FIGS is hiring a Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. This self-motivated individual should be comfortable working in a rapid-growth, fast paced environment and will be responsible for a wide array of day-to-day legal responsibilities as the right hand to our General Counsel. The ideal candidate will be able to draft and negotiate complex contracts and will appreciate being a critical part of the operations in a fast-growing, market-defining company. This position will report directly to our General Counsel. 

What You’ll be Doing:

• Negotiating, writing and executing commercial and vendor agreements and contracts on behalf of the company
• Assist with data privacy and international consumer law compliance
• Offering counsel on a variety of legal issues to General Counsel and company management 
• Working alongside other departments within the company to meet their contract and compliance needs
• Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals
• Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company
• Reviewing advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements
• Providing training to the company on legal topics

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in corporate transactional work at a top-tier law firm with a preference for at least 1 year of in-house legal experience within a growing e-commerce business with experience navigating privacy laws and commercial issues in a commercial context.
• JD from accredited, top-tier law school and active California Bar License
• Excellent business judgment; intellectual curiosity and the ability to balance legal and business requirements.
• Exceptional at drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements with a solution-oriented approach; comfortable thinking quickly on your feet.
• Highly motivated with a strong attention to detail and has the drive to work independently, plan and accomplish goals, manage and prioritize projects with deadlines, and ability to thrive in a fast paced, changing environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as a team player with internal business partners.
