The Legal Intern will draft and review contracts, provide legal advice, aid in compliance systems, and collaborate internationally.
Business UnitThe S1 Legal & Administration Line functions as the backbone support system for corporate security, legal affairs, government affairs, administrative affairs, procurement, infrastructure, and corporate social responsibility.
What the Role Entails
- Draft, review and negotiate contracts and materials for various business activities e.g. M&A, gaming, cloud, online content, platform services, open-source software and Al models related projects.
- Provide first-line legal advice and assistance in relation to commercial agreements to various business units.
- Participate in the design and landing of compliance system.
- Collaborate with external counsel and other Tencent attorneys based around the world, including in mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, EU, and the US, to provide compliance and regulatory analysis and advice for international business initiatives.
- You have graduated or will graduate in 2024 or 2025 with at least a LLB degree. A multidisciplinary academic background in law and computer-related fields would be preferred.
- You have a good command of Mandarin
- Chinese and English (both written and oral).
- You have work or internship experience in large law firms or international enterprise.
- You have passed the National Judicial Examination in Mainland China, with overseas
