About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer.
In this role, you will:
The Information Security Sr Engineer candidate will design and implement firewall infrastructure to the corporate network specifically related to lifecycle hardware and software refresh efforts. Additionally, this job will entail making configuration changes to these devices already on the network and serving in an operational support role that will involve periodic on-call rotations to include engagement of vendor support for issues escalated above tier This job will involve frequent interaction with line of business customers (internal and external) to confirm technical requirements to culminate in late evening implementation work when infrastructure is added to, or changed on the network. This job will also involve working directly with firewall management on audit items, daily operational health items, workload distribution to the team, and mentoring. Candidate will be responsible for writing technical procedures, guidelines, standards and other documentation required for Create Job Requisition 09:43 AM 08/11/2026 Page 2 of 5 daily operations. The job will also require the ability to manage projects and coordinate large scale efforts with network security and partner teams. Candidate should be well versed in troubleshooting critical issues and leading troubleshooting efforts for network security. An extensive understanding of firewalls, networking, routing, and ipv4/v6 protocols is a must for this position.
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of information technology applications and systems experience
  • 3+ years of Palo Alto Firewall or Fortigate Firewall experience
  • 3+ years of experience in network security infrastructure (includes firewall, intrusion detection, and cyber threat)
Desired Qualifications:
  • Splunk experience
  • Familiarity with AI and automation tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of network infrastructure including routers and switches
  • Working knowledge of Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6)
  • Knowledge and understanding of technical documentation: creation of detailed design and technical artifacts
  • experience taking packet captures on firewalls and troubleshooting firewall issues
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a variety of technical teams and line of business contacts
  • Willingness to work frequent evenings and occasional weekends to support change controls happening after the corporate critical online window (COW)
  • Willingness to serve in team on-call support rotation to participate in operational support calls escalated above tier one support team
  • Demonstrated ability to host calls to mentor team, train team on relevant technology, and keep team up to date on operational issues
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
