Position Summary:
Leads the Compensation function’s expertise and governance work by establishing advanced system compensation governance, directing Skills Cloud architecture, governing job architecture and job family classifications, and executing organization-wide compensation modeling. Provides authoritative strategic guidance, establishes enterprise controls and standards, resolves the most complex escalations, and leads multi-resource functional initiatives that strengthen compensation governance, compliance, system integrity, and business decision-making.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None. Leads multi-resource functional work and provides authoritative technical direction, quality oversight, coaching, and governance guidance to Compensation team members and cross-functional resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systems & Governance: Establish advanced system compensation governance, EIB security controls, data-quality standards, approval protocols, audit requirements, and sustainable operating controls.
- Skills Cloud Architecture: Lead Skills Cloud architecture, including taxonomy alignment, proficiency governance, job-profile integration, and connection to career frameworks and workforce-planning processes.
- Job Architecture: Review material role changes, govern job family and career-level classifications, maintain job architecture standards, and make formal FLSA determinations.
- Advanced Modeling: Execute organization-wide compensation modeling and department pay-compression analyses; evaluate enterprise implications and develop defensible structural recommendations for leadership decisions.
- Controls & Enablement: Review and govern ServiceNow compensation requests, manage Job Architecture Hub compliance, update executive dashboards, identify control exceptions, and direct corrective action.
- Strategic Guidance: Serve as an authoritative compensation advisor on complex governance, job architecture, modeling, policy, regulatory, and system matters; recommend industry best practices and enterprise solutions.
- Functional Leadership: Lead multi-resource functional projects through design, implementation, and adoption; establish direction, integrate cross-functional work, and resolve complex escalations with significant organizational impact.
Qualifications:
Required
Education (including minimum education and any licensing/certifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- No specific license or certification is required.
Experience:
- Minimum eight (8) years of progressive compensation experience, including significant experience in broad-based compensation, job architecture, compensation systems, and enterprise governance within complex organizations.
- Experience establishing advanced system compensation controls, governing job and skills architecture, and designing sustainable standards, audit mechanisms, and decision frameworks.
- Experience executing organization-wide compensation modeling and pay-compression analysis, advising senior leadership, resolving high-impact escalations, and leading multi-resource functional initiatives.
Knowledge of:
- Expert-level compensation governance, job architecture, job family and career-level classification, market pricing, salary structures, pay compression, organization-wide modeling, and executive decision support.
- Advanced Workday compensation governance, EIB security controls, Skills Cloud architecture, Job Architecture Hub compliance, ServiceNow workflows, data integrity, executive dashboards, and audit-ready controls.
- Federal and state compensation laws and regulations, including formal FLSA classification requirements, pay-equity obligations, pay-transparency requirements, recordkeeping, and governance controls.
Skills:
- Expert compensation modeling, systems governance, job architecture, data interpretation, risk assessment, control design, and enterprise problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional strategic consultation, executive communication, influence, judgment, functional leadership, stakeholder alignment, escalation management, and change-enablement skills.
Ability to:
- Set enterprise direction and governance standards for compensation systems, job architecture, skills architecture, controls, and complex compensation decision-making.
- Synthesize complex business, workforce, market, regulatory, and system information into authoritative recommendations for executives and senior leaders.
- Lead multi-resource initiatives, influence across functions without direct authority, make sound decisions under ambiguity, and resolve the most complex compensation escalations.
Preferred
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), SHRM certification, or comparable professional credential.
- Advanced knowledge of Workday Compensation, Skills Cloud, reporting, EIB processes, Job Architecture Hub governance, and ServiceNow workflows.
- Knowledge of ACG Human Resource policies, procedures, systems, compensation programs, and external compensation survey practices.

Compensation & Benefits Overview:
ACG complies with all applicable state and local laws regarding required benefits (including PTO, paid sick leave, etc.).
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $107,827- $155,000 with annual bonus potential, based on performance.

Time Off & Leave
- Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at 90 days of employment. Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include additional PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements. Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will accrue at a minimum of 3 hours per month.
- Paid Holidays: Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating holidays and 1 volunteer day. Holidays vary by business unit schedules. Part-time employees are eligible for 8 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays. Holidays vary by business unit schedules.
