Job Description
As the Lead for Away from Home Sales Distribution Channel , you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision, business objectives , and joint growth plans for our foodservice distributors. Reporting to the Customer Vice President of Distribution and Execution for Kraft Heinz Away from Home, you will work cross-functionally to drive business impact while leading and developing a high-performing team of four direct reports. You will leverage best-in-class tools, systems, and processes to optimize performance and strengthen our competitive position.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a customer-centric joint business plan that drives profitable growth, branded market share expansion, and SKU penetration.


  • Lead a team of Distributor Managers by outlining and executing overarching strategies, annual plans, quarterly business reviews against core KPI s - Revenue, Profit, Share, Distribution .


  • Build and nurture long-term customer relationships, lead Top to Top meetings and establishing a structured engagement strategy for key stakeholders.


  • Lead contract negotiations, RFP processes, and strategic pricing discussions to secure mutually beneficial agreements.


  • Collaborate closely with Sales Operations & Planning, Marketing, and Non-Commercial teams to align sales strategies with overall business objectives .


  • Leverage data-driven insights to influence decision-making, ensuring forecast accuracy and trade spend optimization.


  • Mentor team and provide guidance, support and professional development


  • Act as the division's Sales subject matter expert, contributing to business planning, innovation pipeline development, and brand execution strategies.


  • Drive operational excellence by implementing sales fundamentals, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and optimizing financial performance.


  • Develop and mentor a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.


  • Represent the Kraft Heinz Away from Home business internally and externally through compelling presentations, customer negotiations, and strategic discussions.


People Management Responsibilities

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in business , m arketing, or a related field; MBA preferred (or equivalent experience).


  • 7-10 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of driving profitable volume growth, customer penetration, and relationship management.


  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience, with demonstrated success in developing and managing sales teams within the foodservice industry and major distributors .


  • Experience in CPG, restaurant, culinary, and/or foodservice distribution industries.


  • Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to assess opportunities based on profitability and long-term value.


  • Proficiency in sales forecasting, trade spend management, and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).


  • Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience leveraging data for business planning and performance tracking.


  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with expertise in PowerPoint and Excel for building customer-ready materials.


  • Passion for challenging the status quo, driving innovation, and executing out-of-the-box ideas.


  • Willingness to roll up sleeves and take a hands-on approach, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.


Work Environment & Schedule
This is a remote-based role that can be performed from a home office, with travel required based on business needs. The position follows a salaried, exempt schedule, allowing flexibility to meet customer and internal expectations, which may include occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends. Regular domestic travel within the assigned geographic territory is expected, including overnight trips as necessary. The role requires in-person engagement with customers, distributors, and internal teams to drive business objectives effectively. To support travel needs, this position is eligible for a company-provided vehicle or a car allowance.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$137,400.00 - $171,700.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
