The Role
We are looking for a hands-on IT Manager to own and evolve our internal IT function. This person will manage day-to-day IT operations, oversee equipment and endpoint management, ensure compliance with SOC2, and lead critical systems projects like our SSO migration. You’ll be both the go-to resource for IT support and the architect of scalable IT processes as we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Own IT equipment procurement and lifecycle management (laptops, monitors, phones, etc.)

  • Oversee technical onboarding and offboarding of employees, ensuring seamless access and deprovisioning.

  • Manage endpoint devices (computers, mobile devices) to maintain SOC2 compliance; implement and maintain MDM/endpoint security tools.

  • Provide IT Helpdesk support, resolving day-to-day technical issues for staff.

  • Partner with Security/Engineering to enforce access controls, security policies, and IT best practices.

  • Lead key IT infrastructure projects, beginning with a company-wide SSO migration.

  • Maintain and optimize IT vendors, SaaS subscriptions, and support contracts.

  • Build documentation and processes to enable IT to scale with the business.

About You

  • 4–7 years of IT experience in a tech company environment, ideally in a fast-growing startup.

  • Proven experience managing endpoint devices for SOC2 compliance (e.g., MDM tools such as Kandji, Jamf, Intune, or similar).

  • Hands-on experience with SSO/identity providers (Google SSO, Okta, OneLogin, Azure AD, or similar).

  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Mac/Windows operating systems, networking, and SaaS applications.

  • Excellent communication skills with a “white-glove” approach to IT support.

  • Highly organized, with experience building scalable IT processes and documentation.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience leading an SSO migration.

  • Exposure to ISO 27001 or other security frameworks in addition to SOC2.

  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams.

Why Join Us
  • Be the first IT hire at a rapidly growing startup.

  • Shape Atlas’s IT strategy while executing the foundational work that keeps Atlas online

  • Work alongside a passionate, ambitious team creating unique and magical experiences for our members.

  • Competitive compensation (Salary + Equity), benefits, and membership perks… and you get an Atlas card!

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
