The IT Financial Analyst is responsible for conducting timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting to assist in IT financial decision making. Provides technical financial expertise to IT leaders to ensure all financial and operational data, including budgets and forecasts, are available to support business decisions. Liaison between IT and Accounting/Finance. Comprehends the different perspectives and needs of IT, Accounting and Finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides financial leadership and support of the Dine Brands IT budget
  • Maintains strong relationships and open communication with PMO team members, Project Managers, Accounting, Finance and IT Leadership
  • Ensures financial alignment and accuracy across IT PMO, Accounting and Finance
  • Manages financial reporting and ad-hoc analysis as requested
  • Manages Month End Close for IT Dept
    • Work with Accounting (Opex and Capex) to make sure all accruals are sent to the Accounting Team before month end
    • Answer any questions that accounting may have on accruals and estimates
    • Assist in Monthly Capex labor reclasses
  • Leads Capex Reporting and Analysis
    • Monitor and track Capitalization Request Authorizations (CRA) cost against budget
    • Monitor and track Contract Approval Forms (CAF) cost against budget
    • Provide WIP updates to Accounting
    • Understand depreciation/amortization and how it impacts the P&L
  • Manages Invoice Processing
    • Route invoices to the correct approvers – ChromeRiver
    • Monitor amount spent by vendor, department, projects, stakeholders
    • Create PO’s and match invoices to PO’s (in the future)
    • Assist in best practices for the Procure to Pay process for the IT department
  • Leads Forecast and Budget Financial Process
    • Spearhead monthly forecasting process
    • Support quarterly and year-end close process including setting expectations, deliverables, timelines, etc.
    • Manage headcount of open and closed positions
    • Understand Capex impact on financials (project cost and expense recovery)
    • Manage IT revenue reporting
  • Manages IT Billing
    • Use PeopleSoft to enter billing information
    • Reconciliation of IT Billing Data to IT Billing in PeopleSoft
  • Manages Budget and Forecast
    • Monthly Reforecasting
    • Amortization Understanding

Skills & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience in financial or business analysis
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize data and prepare complex reports
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to multitask
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with large databases required; experience with Hyperion Planning strongly preferred
  • Proven experience in identifying and executing improvements in FP&A process; self-motivated problem solver
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, Smartsheets preferred
  • Target Salary $80-$85k depending on experience
