The Finance Team includes Finance Business Partnership, Accounting, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury, and Investor Relations teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.
We’re looking for a Tax Intern to join Snap Inc! As a member of the Snap Finance team, you will work directly with our global tax accounting and domestic tax compliance functional leads assisting with strategic projects. Working from our Los Angeles, CA headquarters, you’ll collaborate with the team to support tax planning leads in support of strategic projects and build efficiencies into our processes as we scale.
What you’ll do:
Assist in the preparation of the US current provision and US indirect tax accruals
Assist in the review of international tax provisions prepared by local accounting teams to ensure compliance with US GAAP requirements
Support US federal and state income tax compliance process
Research and present findings on complex tax issues
Assist with SOX compliance
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Must operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment
Must be a self-starter with the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
Detail oriented with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communicator both written and verbally with the ability to build relationships
Minimum qualifications:
High school graduate who has completed or is pursuing a BA/BS in accounting or finance
