Development Intern

We’re looking for a Development Intern to join Snap Inc! As a member of the ORIGINALS team, you will gain production and development experience as well as valuable experience about how to work professionally inside a high profile tech company. Working from our Santa Monica headquarters/office, you’ll collaborate with the Originals team to work across both scripted and docuseries development as well as assist with production.
What you’ll do:
Assist with coordination, development and production for scripted and docuseries programming
Provide coverage on incoming materials (pitches, writer samples, etc.)
Maintain development grids and submission logs
Research and compile writer/director/production trackers
Build creative internal pitch decks for weekly meetings
Assist with noting projects during both development and production phases
Collaborate with internal teams to support production timelines and assets with comms, marketing and product
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Fluent with Snapchat, and both an avid Snapchatter and consumer of Snap’s Original content
Proficient with Google Suite (Google Doc, Google Slides, Google Sheets)
Proficient with Mac OS and iOS
Effective interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Ability to effectively interact with colleagues and management
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Extremely organized with excellent time management skills
Previous work or intern experience with a production company, studio, network, agency/management company
Previous experience providing coverage
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a BS/BA program that focuses on the cinematic arts or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience interning or working in television development specifically
Experience with Photoshop, Powerpoint and Excel
Experience with television and/or digital production
