Infection Preventionist at Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa, CA. This position is Full time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts.

The Infection Prevention Specialist is considered an Infection Prevention Practitioner.  An IP Specialist is expected to work autonomously and should not require mentorship in their role.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field or equivalent education/experience
  • National Certified in Infection Control - Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology within 1 year of hire.
  • 2 years of Healthcare Experience
  • 2 years of Epidemiology Experience
  • Epidemiology or Infection Prevention experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, Lab Sciences, Microbiology or related health science field or equivalent education/experience
  • 4 years of Healthcare Experience
  • 4 years of Epidemiology Experience

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
