The HR Director partners with leadership to drive initiatives that improve the team member experience at ZEALOT. Key Responsibilities and tasks

• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.

• Partner with benefits providers to research and present the leadership team with programs that meet team members' needs.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

• Lead full-cycle recruiting, from job postings to interviews and hiring decisions

• Create and manage onboarding programs that help new hires feel welcome and prepared

• Create and develop HR policies and procedures that fit the company’s size and culture.

• Design performance evaluations strategies and work with departments to recognize and implement career growth opportunities for team members.

• Mediate workplace conflicts and handle employee relations issues with discretion and fairness.

• Partner with managers on disciplinary actions.

• Be approachable and trustworthy, someone team members feel comfortable talking to about workplace concerns.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR management role.

• Deep knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.

• Payroll Administration: Prior experience processing payroll, creating batches and

entering one time check requests. Knowledge of Paylocity or another payroll platform is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of California and New York: Pay, leave and compliance regulations.

• Excellent knowledge of Office 365 (word, excel and outlook are essential), Slack, Zoom, Applicant Tracking Software.

• Sage Intacct is desired, but not essential.

Additional Information:

• Reports to: ZEALOT’s Board

• Exempt (Salary) Pay Range is $140K - $180K. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Actual offers may vary based on work experience.

• Regular business hours are Mon-Fri 10am to 7pm.

• You must be able to make a daily commute 3 x per week to the office to be considered for this job.
