As VP of People, you’ll report to the VP of Operations and will work closely with our CEO and executive leadership team to design a best-in-class People function that is aligned with Miro’s business model and culture, and effectively supports operational hubs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Perm, and Amsterdam. In this role, you’ll develop and oversee the execution of highly effective and scalable programs for Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience, Employee Effectiveness, People Operations and you’ll build a sophisticated people analytics system to equip the People Team and functional heads with actionable insights to improve company culture, employee experience and the overall performance of the business through people programs. This role can either be in Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure that the talent acquisition team is properly staffed, trained, enabled by appropriate resource and performs with utmost efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with marketing to build a strong talent brand across all markets.
  • Advise company leadership on the evolution of our organizational design to achieve maximum agility and productivity.
  • Support business leaders with headcount planning.
  • Drive the development and execution of a holistic approach to employee motivation to ensure that the team is engaged, aligned on achieving key results and regrettable employee churn is at a minimum.
  • Design and roll out a global people and leadership development program to help our team grow fast as the organization grows.
  • Support business leaders with the implementation of hands-on and practical approach to training.
  • Champion the company Culture in all hubs and develop a company communication approach to achieve ongoing alignment of the team with the company strategy.
  • Support change management as major initiatives are implemented.
  • Develop and implement actionable and insightful people metrics system to enable company leadership to make smart and timely decisions.

What you'll need

  • 10+ years in People/HR roles; 3+ of direct management.
  • Experience with scaling an organization from 150 to 1000 people.
  • Hyper-growth experience within the tech industry.
  • Experience with distributed teams, multiple offices and adapting cultural nuances.
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Laws, Compliance, Immigration and best practices.
  • Experience with evaluation and implementation of modern tools: Greenhouse, Namely, CultureAmp, Betterment, etc.
  • Ability to oversee multiple teams and integrate holistic programs through talent, employee relations, org design, L&D, inclusion, and culture.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and incisive ability to manage employee communications and relations, conflict management, team-building and coaching, and ability to guide people through change.
  • Expertise in designing and running employee engagement programs and surveys; can turn people data and insights into actions that drive continuous improvement for employee programs.
  • Can build trust and successfully collaborate cross-functionally with department heads, getting stakeholder buy-in and adding value through quality advice, counsel and insights.
  • You have strong ethical standards, integrity, credibility and character.
  • You’re empathetic and open-minded with a high level of emotional intelligence.
  • You are an inspiring leader that’s passionate about the impact of people, yet business-minded and results oriented.
  • You’re a problem solver with deep People Operations knowledge that can add perspective and leadership beyond your area of responsibility.
