THE PURPOSE:

The Senior Recruiter role will be part of the Recruiting team which sits within Talent Ops. Recruiting supports Hyperloop One’s business driven and strategic growth that is aggressive for the foreseeable future. We are looking for recruiters with specialized knowledge that can ensure that they are turning over every stone to find the best talent, manage the recruiting process professionally and effectively, be an asset to the company and their hiring managers, and bring valuable knowledge/skills to the team.

Our team mission is to hire the right number of people with the right skills in the right place at the right time, to deliver organizational objectives. All of this while maintaining quality, cost, alignment, and schedule.

THE ROLE:

  • Managing a high req load professionally and consistently.
  • Source, identify and qualify candidates.
  • Presenting suitable and qualified profiles to hiring managers for consideration.
  • Move candidates through the recruiting process / dispositions candidates.
  • Schedule and confirm phone or Skype interviews.
  • Manage candidate communication effectively, keeping them in the loop regarding their process, articulating feedback in a concise and professional way, both positive and negative.
  • Manage the entire offer process including effectively delivering our value proposition, presenting and negotiating compensation packages.
  • Giving recruiting process updates and feedback to hiring managers.
  • Working collaboratively and keeping clear communication; gaining strong alignment and trust with Business Partners, Hiring Managers, and other members of our team will be the key to personal and organization success.

  • Ideally, we would like recruiters that already have a network of candidates for our requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have full-lifecycle recruiting experience with a track record of success.
  • Experience recruiting in at least one or more of the following areas; Software Engineering, Mechanical Design, Systems Engineering and Integration, Manufacturing, Test and Development, or several of the Business Services teams; Sales, Finance, Business Strategy, Procurement, IT, Operations, Marketing, Legal and HR.
  • Experience leading effective in-take meetings in which you ask the right questions to thoroughly understand the needs of the hiring managers and to help you identify the right candidate(s).
  • In-depth knowledge of ATS, Greenhouse highly preferred
  • Solid experience identifying candidates; this includes sourcing and uncovering passive candidates.
  • Must be able to screen candidates and ascertain their competence against the job description.
  • Must be familiar with recruiting tools and technologies to enhance search capabilities.
  • Experience cold calling, phone screening, reference checking, managing the offer process including pre-closing and negotiations.
  • Must be good at network recruiting and interacting with people all day.
  • Organizational acumen 
  • Experience in managing a high-volume of applicants.
  • Experience in client management; providing consultative advice or recommendations that influence in hiring decisions.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Able to carry out interview training/coaching.
  • Ability to implement processes.
  • Experience owning and managing projects from start to finish.
  • Experience explaining pre-IPO stock options as part of a package.
  • Experience hiring employees in need of immigration assistance.
  • Experience with job analysis to determine job grades and salaries.
  • Familiar with diversity strategies.
  • Knowledgeable about the latest recruiting tools and technologies: job boards, search engines, social media, virtual recruiting, video tools and assessments.
  • Experience working with metrics: quality of hire, dashboards, scorecards etc.
  • Familiar with federal and state employment laws and requirements.
  • General HR exposure/knowledge
  • Confidence speaking and presenting to internal and external audiences.
  • In-depth knowledge of ATS, Greenhouse highly preferred
