As DV US Resource Manager, you will use your skills to:
- Resource deployment:
- Lead US Staffing team of 5 in making day to day staffing decisions including ventures, support for proposals, sales development, usage of external resources
- Maintain real-time visibility of resource availability and capacity outlook
- Work with senior leadership, resources and venture leadership to resolve more complex staffing challenges and conflicts
- Work with global DV centers and broader BCG staffing organization to facilitate cross-office staffing
- Maintain constant communication with Finance team to monitor utilization, venture status, and staffing approvals
- Ensure overall adherence to DV’s central Staffing Principles as well as provide thought leadership on what these principles should be
- First point of contact for DV’s current Staffing system (currently Retain International)
- Capacity planning:
- Create visibility of staffing pipeline by engaging with senior leadership on upcoming/existing projects and staffing requirements, forecasting potential resource gaps
- Provide regular capacity updates at Operating Committee meetings providing insight into resource availability, resource gaps, allocation issues , maximize regional billability, and number of ventures we are able to plan for
- Develop and maintain various resource management tools and capacity forecast models (together with the Finance team), adding new projects, staff allocations and forecasting short-term and long resource needs by function
- Conduct regular check-ins with cohort leads to review utilization, performance considerations, staffing matters, etc.
- Develop proposals to enhance resource management operations, resource allocation and overall forecasting/capacity planning capability
- Vendor management:
- Work with the contingency workforce staffer reporting to you to maintain real-time forecast of DV’s vendor needs in the context of the broader capacity forecast
- Oversee the vendor management function and to source, select and monitor performance of vendors as needed
- Ensure the use of vendors fits within the overall capacity strategy
- Oversee vendor strategy and relationships for billable as well as Ops contingent staff
As a DV US Resource Manager, we are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrable work experience in a resource management role required. Managing a staffing headcount of 150+ employees
- Capacity planning experience required
- Knowledge of resource management tools including Retain or Fieldglass
- Bachelor degree strongly preferred, or equivalent number of additional years of relevant work experience
- Previous people management experience required
- Experience with vendor management for contingent resources is a plus, but not required
- Experience with working in dynamic tech / design / professional services environment preferred
- High proficiency in working with MS office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong service orientation and sensitivity in responding to customer needs
