Responsibilities
We are looking for a proven self-starter who has a passion for people to be a University Relations & Recruiting (UR&R) Recruiter reporting to the Director of UR&R. This individual will have exceptional communication skills and will love working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role will be responsible for campus activities and recruiting New Graduate, Intern, and Co-op candidates.
You will obtain an understanding of The Aerospace Corporation's core capabilities and programs. In return, you will excite students with information on the company and support the Aerospace brand and image on-campus and at recruiting events. The preferred work location is El Segundo, CA but will consider other company locations.
- KEY FUNCTIONS
- Full-cycle recruiting including, but not limited to sourcing, screening, qualifying, interviewing, comp analysis and formulating offers
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to build a talented diverse candidate pool in support of the company’s strategic imperatives
- Execute recruiting plans for designated schools, diversity conferences, etc.
- Work with a diverse business group (across multiple locations) to improve the quality and efficiency of the planning, sourcing and hiring process while maintaining compliance with government regulations (OFCCP, EEO)
- Utilize the applicant tracking system and customer relationship management tools to capture and track recruiting activity
- Lead campus teams on recruiting business objectives for designated campuses, ensure staffing and branding protocols and provide support as needed that aligns to the objectives of designated schools
- Build and develop relationships with campus administrators (Career Services, Corporate Development, Professors and Deans)
- Candidate management –acting as the main point of contact for students throughout the campus recruiting process and at hiring events to ensure a positive candidate experience
- Up to 50% travel and extended working hours especially during peak hiring seasons
This position may be filled as a Recruiter II or III
Qualifications
REQUIRED for LEVEL II
• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years recruiting experience with at least 1 of those years with college recruiting, building campus relationships or related experience
• Strong computer skills, with an ability to utilize applicant tracking systems and customer relationship management tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience working in an autonomous work environment, leading small groups and delivering company presentations
• Able to travel 50% domestic and work extended hours especially during peak hiring seasons
