SUMMARY
WELL’s People Team is looking for a Learning & Development Manager to join our growing organization! This person will play an integral role in developing leaders across the company! You will work closely with our Vice President of People to develop a vision and strategy for continuous growth and development programs for all team members at WELL Health. You will have a strong focus on manager training, performance development, calibration, promotion and succession planning, career pathing and coaching initiatives for the company. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop WELL’s company-wide learning strategy that is engaging, innovative and aligned with business priorities
- Develop an annual Learning & Development roadmap that is aligned with WELL’s business strategy, People roadmap and company culture
- Establish and evolve our existing learning and development experiences to support the business and our people, including performance development, goal setting, career pathing and coaching programs
- Collaborate with company leaders to maintain a deep understanding of WELL’s departments, their needs, skill gaps and challenges to seek opportunities to proactively solve pain points and prioritize optimal learning opportunities
- Design training materials to equip employees for the Future of Work as WELL will have employees in-office, remote and a mix of the two; establish training on ways of working across time zones and geographics, cultural meeting norms and best practices for employees working in a hybrid workplace
- Develop career paths and job architecture frameworks to support employees in their career growth
- Develop and recommend a comprehensive learning channel approach that provides employees with access to a mix of learning opportunities (i.e. classroom, live-and-online, self-paced e-learning, workshops and blended methodologies)
- Integrate and align diversity, equity and inclusion throughout all employee development and experience practices
- Establish program evaluation tools that measure the effectiveness and return on investment of WELL’s learning & development programs
- Oversee all of the company's mandatory training programs, ensuring compliance and engagement
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in People/HR related functions such as talent development, HRBP, DE&I, internal communications
- Obsessed with customer service, and keep the employee experience front-and-center in everything you do
- End-to-end program management skills with an ability to make things happen
- Action-oriented problem solver with comfort working in an ambiguous, fast-paced and continuously changing environment with competing priorities
- Have a growth mindset and seek opportunities to learn and do better
- Have deep passion for and understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion and have experience with implementing diversity, equity and inclusion training programs
- Experience turning complex topics into engaging learning programs from scratch for various functional units
- Have expertise in leveraging Learning Management Systems for an optimal learning experience
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and experience in training program administration, training methodologies, and application of data-driven training metrics
- Experience collaborating with business leaders, subject matter experts, and external vendors to build and deliver innovative learning solutions
- Flexibility to travel to support in-person development experiences as needed

LOCATION
WELL is headquartered in Santa Barbara, CA. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and to prioritize the health of our employees, all WELL positions are temporarily remote. We are looking forward to when our company returns to in-office work at or around June 2021. For this role, we are only open to candidates that currently reside in Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, Boston or remote.
