The People Learning and Development Manager is an exciting opportunity to help GoGuardian build a robust Learning and Development program. Our goal is to help every Guardian move toward their highest potential and be ready to take on ever expanding challenges as the company grows toward fulfilling our vision of creating the ultimate learning platform. We are looking for a motivated, mission-driven, professional who will set GoGuardian’s continuous learning and development strategies in a way that supports our values of growth towards one’s highest potential.


What You'll Do

  • Focus on creating an exceptional corporate level employee learning and development experience
  • Develop a learning strategy and an annual learning plan in collaboration with HR and company leaders that is bold and innovative and aligned with annual business priorities
  • Develop a multi-year talent development roadmap that aligns with the overarching People strategy of promoting growth through talent, culture, and performance coaching. Ensure this is represented as part of a strategic roadmap
  • Co-create and support GoGuardian’s leadership development program to accelerate the development and readiness of senior leaders - including succession planning, calibration process, and mentoring programs for all levels of leadership from managers to c-suite executives
  • Cultivate a learning organization that moves individuals towards their maximum potential. This approach should help Guardians drive scale and strengthen engagement and retention
  • Develop and recommend a comprehensive learning channel approach that allows Guardians access to a mix of learning opportunities; classroom, live-and-online, self-paced e-learning, workshops, and blended methodologies
  • Collaborate with company leaders and monitor industry insights to forecast critical skill gaps and ensure optimal learning priorities
  • Develop GoGuardian learning paths to support Guardians in their career journeys along the established job architecture frameworks already in place
  • Work with HR Business Partners and GoGuardian leaders to build learning programs in a matrixed company that includes several dual reporting relationships
  • Develop program evaluation tools that measure the effectiveness and return on investment of GoGuardian’s Learning & Development programs
  • Improve LMS capabilities and refresh development content on an ongoing basis 
  • Oversee all of the company's mandatory training programs, ensuring compliance and engagement

Who You Are

  • Proven learning and leadership development experience; preferably in a tech environment
  • Track record of building learning programs from scratch for various functional units
  • Professional experience and learning theory in practical manner, including ability to adapt concepts into culturally-appropriate learning programs
  • Executive presence and ability to build trusted relationships and motivate employees at all levels
  • Proven results in delivering and evaluating the effectiveness of organizational development and learning programs
  • Expertise in leveraging Learning Management Systems for an optimal learning experience
  • Passionate customer service orientation with an ability to make things happen
  • Knowledge of contemporary HR and L&D research and practices
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic work environment
  • Growth mindset
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both verbal and written communications across multiple formats
  • End-to-end program management skills
  • BA or BS degree required, an advanced degree is nice to have
