THE PURPOSE:

The Lead Recruiter provides leadership, support, advocacy and vision to a team of technical recruiters and support staff who provide recruiting support to hiring managers across the organization. They are responsible for the performance management and hiring of these employees.

THE ROLE:

  • Responsible for a team of full life-cycle recruiters: recruiting, screening and recommending placement of employees by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external)
  • Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs
  • Ensures alignment between Recruiters, Business Partners and hiring teams
  • Distributes team workload evenly to get the best hiring results and to achieve company hiring goals
  • Prepares weekly status reports for organization and Senior Leadership team on recruiting efforts
  • Ensures recruiting processes are efficient and creates new processes as needed
  • Researches, tests, and implements new recruiting tools
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources to help the team identify and attract diverse quality candidates
  • Develops advertising and employer branding programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
  • Develop and manage contingent labor hiring strategy
  • Must understand our broader business and be able to answer questions around the Virgin Hyperloop One strategy, goals, technology, and culture

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Self-motivated and strong collaboration skills is a must, but you will be autonomous and expected to succeed without a lot of direction in an ambiguous environment
  • A leader who will offer innovative and constructive ideas to continue our team's success
  • High-touch customer service pro and born problem-solver
  • Master communicator who can adjust content and tone for different audiences
  • Is invested in the success of other teams
  • Pitches in, gets the big picture, and understands how to prioritize and manage tasks
  • Must have the following critical skills; business acumen, consultation, critical evaluation, leadership & navigation, and relationship management

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have experience recruiting for technical roles in hardware engineering
  • Must have experience managing a team of 2+ recruiters
  • Proven prior success with developing strategy to recruit a variety of roles in diverse markets
  • Successful track record of sourcing passive candidates and filling senior level positions
  • Must have experience with high volume recruiting and creating high volume hiring strategies
  • Experience operating ATS (Greenhouse preferred)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience recruiting for software engineering, non-technical roles, and executive level positions
  • Experience managing staffing and contingent labor agency relationships
