Centerfield Media is looking to add an outgoing, dynamic, ambitious Human Resources professional to the fast-growing team based in Playa Vista, California. We are helping to find, grow and keep the remarkable assemblage of talent who are our Centerfielders. You'll be a champion of Centerfield's culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them build our organization and make sure all people decisions are made in the best interest of the employees.

The role of the Jr. HR Generalist is completely comprehensive in all facets of HR and will provide a robust experience based in the idea of continuous learning. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Culture:
    • Assist in maintaining the incredible culture for all domestic locations (Los Angeles, Boston, New York City and Plantation Florida )
    • Support the event planning process including managing monthly events, all hands meetings and off-site meetings
    • BYOI ( Bring Your Own Ideas) : Cultivate new and imaginative ways to continually be ahead of the curve in culture management
  • Employee Life Cycle
    • Recruitment:
      • Be the face of Centerfield for all candidates!
      • Source the best candidates on the market through creative recruitment tactics
      • Schedule phone interviews, video interviews and onsite interviews
      • Facilitate onsite interviews to ensure a best in class hiring experience for all candidates
      • Manage the interview loop teams and processes for all candidates
      • Assist interview teams in candidate review meetings after all final candidate interview sessions
      • Track /interpret recruitment metrics and make recommendations based on findings
      • Ensure Centerfield’s 9 values are the staple of each interviewers session
      • Extend employment offers to final candidates and maintain proper documentation as needed
    • Onboarding
      • Ensure a smooth and enjoyable onboarding experience from offer to start date
      • Maintain employee files after hire and ensure compliance electronically
      • Assist hiring teams in creating 90 day onboarding plan and see plans through implementation
    • Training and Development
      • Assist the HRD in creating and launching training and development programs for all Centerfielders
      • Maintain training plans for each level, function and subject areas
      • Assist in facilitating trainings
  • Payroll
    • Manage the semi- monthly payroll process for all CA and NY employees
  • Benefits
    • Manage the annual open enrollment process and have a solid understanding of all benefits Centerfield provides
  • Compensation
    • Manage the compensation database during mid-year and year-end review processes
    • Provide compensation comparisons to functional leads and hiring managers when requested
  • Project Management
    • Assist the HRD in managing projects from inception through completion
    • Keep accurate timelines and ensure communication is clear through project process

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related field
  • Minimum of 2-5 years-experience in a Human Resources role
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize time sensitive issues
  • Positive demeanor with a can-do attitude ??
  • Anticipate possible issues before they arise and effectively problem solve in advance. This includes independently making quick, educated decisions.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to communicate effectively with business partners, candidates and vendors
  • Extremely detail oriented and articulate
  • Working knowledge of regulations, state and federal laws and fair business practice
  • Ability to take initiative, make decisions and work independently

We have slack channels for each department which allows us to easily communicate with other teams when we need their help.
