The Role.

The HR Generalist will work directly with DVers and HR Business Partners to provide personalized guidance, support, and solutions on a breadth of HR Operations-related activities requiring expertise and depth across multiple organizations and specialties.

The HR Generalist will require client-facing skills, problem solving skills, analytical skills, execution skills, domain expertise and empathy. The HR Generalist will provide timely responses, share knowledge and experiences with fellow team members.

Key Competencies for this role:

Technical and functional HR expertise

•Has an understanding and knowledge of HR processes and frameworks 

•Working knowledge of applicable US Federal, State and Local employment laws

Problem solving, analytical skills and decision making

•Resolves complex issues/problems independently and collaboratively with sound judgment

•Is able to perform and outline HR data analytics to effectively inform decision making

Communication, interpersonal and teaming skills 

•Demonstrates strong communication skills; oral, written and active listening 

•Works positively and collaboratively across all levels of the organization and in teams; builds strong and lasting relationships

•Identifies and manages conflict appropriately; coaches others in effective conflict management

Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support and consultation to the business; answering employee and manager questions about HR programs, policies, and other HR-related items.
  • Advise on performance management issues and lead minor investigations.
  • Assist HR Business Partners with planning and roll-out of HR programs and initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR policies, procedures by connecting the dots across multiple experiences DVers go through.
  • Identify and propose solutions to correct inconsistent HR policies and gaps.
  • Develop HR Reports on an ad-hoc basis
  • Partner with Finance and Recruiting to develop predictive talent models in areas such as hiring, attrition and performance
  • Partner closely with many teams in operations and across the business to identify high-impact research ideas, understand the nuances of data sources, and make actionable recommendations based on your findings.

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of relevant HR experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and influence.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others.
  • Client-service orientated, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Experience in data management, cleaning, and working with and linking together multiple data sources.
  • Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches, a strong passion for empirical research, and answering hard questions with data

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Awareness of current HR practices, standards and innovations
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
