HR Generalist
FabFitFun is a fast-growing and innovative lifestyle brand looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join the team at our Los Angeles HQ.
What You’ll Do:
Benefits Administration
- Lead benefits administration for new hires
- Present benefits package at weekly benefit enrollment meetings
- Assist with open enrollment
- Administer & monitor 401k participation & enrollment
- Assist with conducting discrimination testing
- Assist with communication with external vendors for benefits, 401k & HRIS
- Understand & respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits
- Assist with ACA reporting
- Help manage EDD, LOA, FMLA/CFRA, unemployment, & workers compensation insurance, claims, & compliance
Onboarding, Off-boarding & File Management
- Manage & disseminate all new hire paperwork, coordinating with Recruiting & IT including, but not limited to:
- Initial HRIS & payroll enrollment
- I-9 verification
- File maintenance
- Manage employee changes & verifications of employment
- Create and distribute change forms
- Coordinate with Payroll Manager to ensure these changes are implemented in payroll
- Update these changes into the HRIS
- Maintain & coordinate HRIS systems
- Manage all benefits data feeds
- Assist with the annual EEO-1 Report; maintain other records, conform to EEO regulations
- Ensure employee files are continually up-to-date
- Responsible for reporting & ad hoc report requests
- Maintain Org Charts
- Work with Content to track IC’s and contracted personnel
Immigration
- Assist with non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings, including H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, O-1, J-1, PERM, EB-1, EB-2, and EB-3 cases
- Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations involving transactions and administrative support for immigration/visas
- Partner with outside immigration counsel to ensure adherence to compliance and communication protocol
- Obtain necessary signatures and perform detailed review of immigration documents to ensure accuracy in conjunction with counsel
- Utilize a strong working knowledge of immigration policies and procedures, to recommend improvements to work flow and operation objectives
- Work closely with employees and candidates in navigating the immigration and relocation process and ensures all paperwork, including applications for immigration and visas are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3+ years' experience as an HR professional
- Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations including FEHA/Title VII, FMLA/CFRA, ADA, FLSA, CFRA, unemployment and labor relations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
- Patient, cheerful demeanor even after you're asked the same question for the fifth time, and initiative to come up with a better system so you're not asked the question a sixth time
- The heart and resilience to thrive in a continuously evolving start-up environment
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Mac and Google applications - Sheets, Slides, and Docs.
- Experience with a wide-variety of systems and tools (Namely, Greenhouse, Workday etc.)
