Background to the Role

Our people are our greatest asset, and the driver of the innovation and growth we unlock for our corporate partners. DV is seeking a high caliber talent leader who has proven experience shaping and implementing the future state of talent for a global, matrixed high growth organization. This person will partner with DV’s senior leaders to advise on the global talent (talent acquisition, learning & organizational development, talent development, performance, staffing, HR and overall strategy) needs of DV, and drive constant strategic alignment with the business strategy and improvement of DV’s end-to-end talent life cycle. This person will work with each region’s operations and cohort leaders to identify shared pain points, recognize and respond to trends in DV’s talent needs, and continue to refine DV’s people model and processes in alignment with the DV Executive Committee’s strategic direction.

This role will require significant collaboration across DV, and a tenacious and inclusive approach to enabling the continued evolution of DV’s talent model. This individual must balance ideal state solutions with pragmatism, and operate effectively across a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with DV’s COO and senior leadership team (Executive Committee and Operating Committees) to set, evaluate and refine DV’s global talent strategy in support of DV’s commercial and strategic goals
  • Assess and establish a holistic mapping of DV’s talent lifecycle and the associated processes that support it, identifying global pain points and opportunities for improvement including supporting tools
  • Manage, assess and evolve DV’s employee value proposition, helping to launch, manage or coordinate global talent initiatives and reporting on global talent metrics
  • Directly manage the Global Talent team (3 people with potential to add more)
  • Develop and drive DV’s use of analytics to support talent and people decision making, driving analysis on retention, attrition, diversity and inclusion among other topics
  • Incubate new people development experiences across the employee lifecycle and optimize existing programs that have a direct impact on business results and the DV employee experience
  • Continually assess DV’s Compensation methodology, total rewards and benefits package to understand market competitiveness and drive alignment with business strategy and employee value proposition
  • Develop a career pathing and succession framework that develops our people and their careers to meet the needs of our evolving business
  • Bring expertise and thought leadership across a broad set of people and organization development topics including but not limited to management/leadership development, talent mobility, career development, talent management and employee development
  • Provide strategic leadership on talent strategy options and best practices to DV’s leadership team, and talent teams both globally and locally

Role Specification

  • Bachelor degree required; advanced degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum of fifteen years of related experience; including demonstrated experience in a talent leadership or management role with a fast growing, tech company or start up. Should have at least 8 years experience in at least one of the following functions: Talent Acquisition, Learning & Organizational Development, Human Resources, Staffing and People Management
  • Inspiring and effective manager, with experience leading teams of over 10 across at least two functions and/or geographies
  • Proven ability to understand strategic organizational and people issues and to influence key leaders and stakeholders for recommendations and alignment
  • Strong systemic thinking; a data driven decision maker who is able to find root cause of issues, identify second and third order impacts and work across the organization to engender change; 
  • Demonstrated experience implementing large scale talent related initiatives requiring organizational change management
  • Proven ability to manage priorities among multiple stakeholders, multi-task and re-prioritize as needed in fast moving environment
  • Able to work with highly dynamic culture and is comfortable with ambiguity and working independently
  • High integrity; experience working with sensitive and confidential situations; track record of building strong trust and confidence with business leaders and teams.
