ABOUT QUINCE

Founded in 2018, Quince was built to challenge the idea that nice things have to cost a lot. Our mission is simple: to make really high quality essentials for really low prices, produced fairly and sustainably. We believe everyone deserves exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design without the traditional markups. Quince is a direct-to-consumer (DTC) model that cuts out middlemen and leverages just-in-time manufacturing to minimize waste and maximize value.

Quince is a tech company disrupting the retail industry by putting AI, analytics and automation at the center of everything we do. Our unwavering commitment to excellence and company values guide our teams and actions:

  • Customer First: We prioritize customer satisfaction in every decision.

  • High Quality: True quality means premium materials and rigorous production standards you can feel good about.

  • Essential Design: We focus on timeless, functional essentials instead of chasing trends.

  • Always a Better Deal: Innovation and transparency ensure value for both customers and partners.

  • Social & Environmental Responsibility: We commit to sustainable materials, ethical production, and fair wages.

Quince partners with world-class manufacturers across the globe and serves millions of customers. With strong investor backing and a focus on sustainable growth, we are a company that is rapidly scaling while maintaining a commitment to quality, simplicity, and radical price transparency.

OUR TEAM AND SUCCESS

At Quince, you will be part of a high-performing team that is redefining what quality, value, and sustainability mean in modern retail. We are a destination for builders, innovators, and operators to come together and challenge the status quo. Our collective ambition is bold. That mission demands a world-class team committed to excellence.

If you are motivated by impact, growth, and purpose, you will find a strong sense of belonging at Quince.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Head of Performance (Growth) to be based in our Palo Alto, CA headquarters. We operate in a hybrid environment with 3 days in office.

As a Head of Performance (Growth), you will serve as the dedicated financial thought partner to our Growth, Retention, and Brand Marketing organizations - sitting at the intersection of finance and consumer growth. You will own the end-to-end revenue forecast, build the frameworks that connect marketing investment to topline outcomes, and translate complex data into clear strategic decisions. You will be in charge of ensuring the marketing team is best positioned to drive performance on a daily basis, working closely with leadership.

You will partner daily with our Marketing, Data Science, Inventory Planning, and Storefront teams, bringing financial rigor and commercial judgment to every major growth initiative. Your models and insights will directly shape how we allocate capital and how we grow.

Responsibilities

  • Own the topline revenue forecast across paid acquisition, organic, lifecycle/CRM, and partnerships
  • Maintain and evolve a cohort-based revenue model connecting growth marketing inputs (spend, channel mix, CAC, conversion rates) to customer count and revenue outputs (revenue, LTV, retention cohorts)
  • Set targets across all marketing channels, own spend mix allocation together with Data Science, and partner analytically with channel managers to unlock greater spend efficiency and scale simultaneously
  • Lead weekly and monthly revenue variance analysis, explaining actuals vs. forecast at a granular driver level, highlighting emerging trends, and recommending corrective actions
  • Work closely with the data organization to improve and automatize spend models

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in investment banking and private or growth equity, or equivalent role in marketing organization

  • Proficiency in cohort and unit economic KPIs (LTV, payback periods, retention cohorts)

  • Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills; working SQL or AI-assisted coding platforms for independent data pulls and analysis

  • Proven ability to translate financial insights into strategic recommendations that influence business decisions, not just reporting numbers

All posted ranges are reflective of base salary and may vary depending upon experience level and location. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible roles.

Pay Range
$230,000$258,000 USD

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
