Director, Account Management, Global Fintech
Overview:
The Global Partnerships team is responsible for cultivating and managing Mastercard's strategic partnerships with key players across the payments ecosystem. The team works with global players in tech, e-commerce, and financial services to create innovative, differentiated products and solutions that shape the future of commerce. Through a consultative approach, and inspired by Mastercard's longstanding focus on inclusive growth, we are passionate about working hand in hand with mission-aligned companies to solve real-world problems for people and businesses around the world.
The Global Fintech team is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships and managing our relationships with partners across the global fintech ecosystem. We work with the biggest names in tech, ecommerce and financial services to leverage Mastercard's technological capabilities to solve real world problems for our partners and their customers, create new product propositions, and ensure seamless, secure and inclusive payments.
Role
In this high-profile, customer facing position, you will own global relationships with Fintech in strategic focus areas for Mastercard, managing customers such as Airwallex, Brex, Rho, among others; across a variety of verticals including acquiring, issuing, and multi-rail / infrastructure providers.
You will be accountable to build mutually aligned strategies and plans with your partners and execute on them by effectively leveraging the Mastercard organization.
You will be responsible for executing Mastercard's go-to-market strategy across a holistic suite of products and services.
You will co-innovate with partners to build new product propositions through close collaboration with Mastercard product development and innovation teams.
You will be responsible for driving Mastercard revenue growth and be comfortable developing business cases including ROI analyses as well as leading responses to RFPs.
You will lead negotiations with partners and with internal stakeholders and develop terms sheets and contracts.

Self-starter/self-motivated
Prior experience in Account Management or Sales roles
Strong commercial acumen and ability to close deals
Ability to navigate through large organizations and influence without direct authority
Ability to communicate complex technical requirements to Product and Engineering teams.
Possess a blend of analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence and able to dive deep on all areas of the business to deliver creative solutions to unstructured problems.
Comfortable aptitude for onboarding complex business and technical knowledge to a level sufficient to engage in meaningful partner discussions and identify and drive solutions.
Good communicator and influencer with strong negotiation skills
Excellent presentation skills, both drafting and presenting
Essential to be comfortable in a multi-tasking environment
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the business's strategic direction across regions.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.
