About the position:
Third Way Health is seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources to scale and lead our People operations across the United States and Colombia. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for building a world-class HR function that supports rapid growth, cultivates a strong culture, and ensures compliance across multiple geographies. You will partner closely with the Co-Founders and other executive leadership team members to design and execute HR strategies that empower our teams to thrive. This position is open to candidates based in the United States or Medellin, Colombia.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
- Talent Management: Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
- Performance Management: Design and implement performance management frameworks and systems to support employee achievement and organizational effectiveness.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts, and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Policy Formulation: Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics, and procedures across the organization.
- Compliance: Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management, mitigating risk and addressing any employment-related issues.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee compensation and benefits plans to ensure they are competitive and compliant with legal requirements.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Promote a diverse and inclusive workforce aligned with organizational values.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; a Master’s degree is strongly preferred
- 10+ years of HR and leadership experience, including experience supporting multi-country teams
- Deep understanding of HR functions and ecosystem (talent management, recruitment, benefits, compliance, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations in Colombia and the US
- Strong leadership skills and ability to foster inter-departmental relationships
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strategic thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Attention to detail and extremely organized
- Competency in Microsoft Office / Google Suite applications and HR software (HRIS or HRMS).
- Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
