About Us

eJam is a privately held consumer products company that has built, scaled, and exited multiple brands. Our portfolio includes category leaders ranked at the top of Amazon, carried in major retailers nationwide, and sold across DTC, marketplaces, and every channel in between.

We’re not a startup hoping something works. We’re a team that has done it repeatedly: taken products from idea to category leader, landed them on retail shelves nationwide, and built real brands that consumers love. We operate like a holding company with the speed of a startup: small teams with real ownership and accountability.

This is the place where you’ll see the entire machine: sourcing, product development, packaging, manufacturing, compliance, marketing, marketplace strategy, retail, all under one roof. If you want to build and ship consumer products at scale, there is no better place than this.

The Role

The VP of Growth leads eJam's growth organization across DTC, TikTok Shop, Amazon and paid social. This is a leader-of-leaders role. You'll manage about seven senior leaders, plus shared leaders for creative, marketplace, influencer, and retention.

They run the channels. You build the structure, accountability and operating rhythm that turns their work into profitable growth: new customers, higher LTV, and efficient CAC/MER. You'll take marketing from scrappy to institutional-grade without losing margin discipline.

What You'll Own
  • Growth strategy and budget. Set strategy, forecasts and channel allocation against CAC, MER, LTV, payback and contribution margin targets, in partnership with Finance.
  • Channel performance. Lead the teams running Meta, TikTok, Google, Amazon and emerging channels; drive testing across audiences, offers, creative and funnels.
  • Creative and creators. Scale creator, influencer, UGC and affiliate programs, and connect creative testing back to performance.
  • Full-funnel economics. Improve conversion, AOV, retention and LTV across lifecycle and marketplace.
  • Org design and leadership. Design the org so each brand has dedicated managers reporting into shared functional leaders. Set clear ownership and KPIs. Hire, coach, and step in when a team is off track.
  • Cross-functional alignment. Align growth plans with Finance, Sales, Operations, Marketplace and Product Development.
  • Compliance and reporting. Keep marketing compliant with FTC, platform and retailer rules, with reporting ready for executives, the board and diligence.

Requirements
  • Led growth at a scaled, multi-channel e-commerce or consumer brand.
  • Ran a marketing org of about 30 people, with directors or heads of function reporting to you.
  • Owned large, multi-channel media budgets across paid social, search, marketplaces and creators.
  • Grew profitably, with real numbers to show for it.
  • Broad command of the e-commerce mix: Meta, TikTok/TikTok Shop, Google, email/SMS, influencer, podcast/TV and attribution. You don't need to be the best buyer in the room, but you need to lead the people who are.
  • Experience with creator-heavy acquisition.
  • Plus: omnichannel experience across DTC, Amazon and retail.

You'll thrive here if you are: commercial, analytical and iterative; a coach who empowers leaders but steps in when needed; energized by speed.

Compensation
  • Base: $200,000 – $250,000, based on proven results
  • Performance bonus: 20–25%, tied to revenue and margin targets
  • Equity with significant upside as we scale

Benefits
  • Health, Dental, Vision
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Generous PTO and company holidays
  • Amazing, pet-friendly office environment
  • Professional development as we scale

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
