Who we are

In the past, to be a successful restaurateur, you simply had to have a passion for food and a passion for people - but to succeed as a digital restaurateur you also need to have a passion for technology. We believe in the joy of serving others, and that's why we created Otter – to help restaurateurs  succeed in online food delivery. Restaurants around the world, both large and small, including Chick-fil-A, Ben & Jerry’s, KFC, and Eataly trust our software to power their delivery business. We increase sales, reduce order issues, and decrease delivery headaches.

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Head of Growth & Performance Marketing who operates at a world-class level — someone who can drive measurable revenue growth through disciplined experimentation, deep analytical insights, and mastery of paid acquisition channels.

  • Own Otter’s global performance marketing strategy, spanning paid social, paid search, display, retargeting, and emerging channels.
  • Manage and optimize $XM+ annual performance marketing budget with clear ROI and CAC efficiency targets.
  • Build, scale, and continuously iterate on acquisition funnels across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and additional paid platforms.
  • Develop a quantitative experimentation roadmap (A/B tests, landing page optimization, ad creative, audience segmentation).
  • Partner with Product, Growth, Brand, and Sales to ensure full-funnel alignment and cross-functional acceleration.
  • Own forecasting, spend pacing, weekly/monthly reporting, and insights for senior leadership.
  • Drive attribution improvements using tools like GA4, Mixpanel, Looker, or Snowflake.
  • Evaluate new channels, automation tools, and AI-powered optimization solutions to increase scale and lower CAC.
  • Be a strategic thought partner to Otter’s leadership on overall growth strategy, channel mix, and long-term customer acquisition models.

What we’re looking for

  • 10+ years in performance or growth marketing with direct ownership of a $M+ annual ad spend.
  • Operator experience in a $50M+ ARR environment (SaaS, marketplace, high-growth startup, consumer goods or multi-market consumer tech).
  • Deep expertise in Meta Ads and Google Ads, with a track record of scaling CAC-positive programs.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capability — comfortable in SQL, Excel, Looker, and funnel analytics.
  • Proven ability to design full-funnel strategies and systematically improve every conversion point.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-growth, high-ambiguity environment with fast iteration cycles.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and present to senior stakeholders.

Why join us

  • Real impact: You will directly own one of the largest levers for Otter’s growth.
  • Fast moving environment where great operators thrive.
  • Opportunity to shape the future of restaurant technology.
  • High ownership role with direct visibility to senior leadership across Otter and CSS.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
