ABOUT THE ROLE: 
The Group Strategy Director is essential in ushering in D&G’s next generation strategic thinking and approach. In equal measures a business strategist and a creative planner, this individual’s portfolio includes successful product-market analyses, go-to-market strategies, and business transformation thought leadership articles alongside serious creative accolades.  In addition to being the senior-most strategist– deeply engaged with the multidisciplinary team on the business, they will collaborate with the CSO elevate to grow our strategy practice, ensuring we have the best-in-class tools, techniques and talent.  They are responsible for identifying product and service offerings that add to the work just as much as they add to the bottom line. They are a vital ally to the Executive Creative Director in ideating and creating brave, beautiful campaigns, and to the Group Account Director in upleveling the account service department to a consultative business practice.   • A persuasive and inspiring communicator, adept at managing up, down and cross-stream stakeholders in real-time and sometimes in politically-charged environments 
  • Unflappable and calm demeanor in the midst of change, who can expertly anticipate and mitigate risks 
  • A trusted partner and in-demand champion for best-in-class creative 
  • Demonstrates mastery of qual and quat research design and analysis, knows how to tell compelling stories with data 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 12+ years of advertising agency, research, client-side and/or consulting experience working on a challenger brand (s) 
  • Experience working in auto and/or brands that have successfully repositioned themselves to be premium a plus 
  • Demonstrated successes in identifying market-, brand-, media-, and customer-driven data and insights to produce groundbreaking work, effecting work for national brand(s) 
  • Fully integrated chops (traditional, digital, media, CRM, social, experiential) 
  • Experience leading a team of strategists at varying levels 
  • Expertise in qualitative and quantitative research 
  • Not an asshole

The base salary is $220k- $260k plus bonus and benefits.
