Job Description

As part of the Marketing Creative Team, you will be the day-to-day visual designer bringing the SoulCycle brand to life across our digital and physical ecosystem. This role is primarily focused on digital design—shaping how our riders interact with our brand across lifecycle emails, social channels, performance marketing, and digital web/app touchpoints—alongside key environmental print assets like in-studio signage and promotional collateral.

This role is based out of our Headquarters in NYC, with a hybrid schedule of four days per week in-office and one day remote, reporting directly to the Head of Creative. You will work closely with creative and marketing partners to translate concepts into high-impact, polished visual deliverables that inspire our community.

Roles And Responsibilities

Digital Execution & Visual Design

  • Execute high-volume, premium digital design across email (Braze/CRM), web banners, landing pages, digital paid media, organic social, and app assets.
  • Maintain visual consistency and integrity with brand guidelines, typography systems, and color palettes across every digital touchpoint.
  • Collaborate with the copy lead and marketing managers to translate conceptual ideas and briefs into cohesive visual layouts that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Prepare, optimize, and organize production-ready digital assets across all required screen ratios, resolutions, and formats.

Environmental & In Studio Collateral

  • Design in-studio promotional signage, printed ridership collateral, local event materials, and window displays as needed to support studio operations and launches.
  • Partner with production vendors to ensure proper print setup, color matching, stock selection, and print specifications for studio rollouts.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Workflow

  • Partner closely with the Creative Director, Retail Designer, Lifecycle, Growth, and Social teams to deliver high-performing creative on schedule.
  • Collaborate with marketing project management to balance multiple campaign timelines and intake queues efficiently.
  • Partner with digital/web stakeholders to uphold intuitive, brand-aligned visual hierarchy across rider-facing web surfaces.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience in-house at a consumer brand, agency, or consumer tech company.
  • A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing high-leverage digital marketing design (emails, web, digital ads, and social campaigns) and strong typographic craft.
  • Advanced expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Solid understanding of digital design constraints, email layout best practices, responsive web layouts, and visual hierarchy.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing print-ready mechanicals and large-format environmental/studio signage.
  • Experience collaborating under the direction of an Art Director or Creative Director while managing multiple active deadlines.
  • Experience in fitness, wellness, lifestyle, hospitality, or direct-to-consumer subscription brands is a plus.
  • Basic working knowledge of digital UI/UX principles, wireframing, or design systems in Figma is a plus (motion graphics not required).
  • Experience with or curiosity around leveraging AI design tools to accelerate concepting and mood-boarding workflows is a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
