The Grants and Contracts Administrator analyzes essential trials documents and collaborates with clinical teams to develop and negotiate comprehensive budgets that cover institutional research costs. They work with pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, clinical research organizations (CROs), and external vendors to negotiate study specific budgets, contract payment terms, master agreements, master fee schedules, and vendor service agreements. Training of lower level Grants and Contracts Administrators.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field from college or university, or 4 years of relevant working experience
  • 3 years closely related experience in healthcare, research finance, budget negotiation on pharmaceutical sponsored industry research  and experience with trials and clinical trial agreements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4 years experience in research finance, budget negotiation on sponsored trials, clinical trial agreements, healthcare administration.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
