Responsibilities

Peraton is looking for an experienced Google Cloud Platform Engineer to provide support to our Federal Government customer.


This role will support the onboarding and configuration of the customer’s Google Cloud Platform (GCP) landing zone, mirroring the level of infrastructure support currently provided for AWS GovCloud and Microsoft Azure.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Cloud project provisioning tasks, automation scripting, monitoring and support activities, patching support, change and incident ticket resolution.
  • Expertise with GCP and other cloud service providers required. 
  • Role requires scheduled on-call support which is rotated through the team. 
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years with BS/BA or 9 years with a HS Diploma/equivalent
  • 5 years experience in Google Cloud Platform in an enterprise setting
  • GCP organizations, IAM, security policy and platform observability practices
  • Development and automation skills such as Git, Python, CICD, Ansible etc.
  • GCP Cloud Engineer certification or equivalent
  • ServiceNow or similar ticketing system experience
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Subject matter expert in GCP administration
  • CSPM experience for compliance with regulatory frameworks
  • FedRAMP High and moderate environments and boundary requirements

Target Salary Range$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
