Position Overview

The General Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, developing leaders, and ensuring a disciplined, hospitality-driven sales culture.

You will lead:

  • New & Used Sales
  • Sales Managers
  • Desk Operations
  • CRM discipline
  • Inventory strategy
  • Sales process execution

This role requires a proven operator who knows how to balance volume, gross, and culture — without sacrificing guest experience.


Key Responsibilities
  • Drive monthly sales volume and gross performance, managing PVR, closing ratios, aging inventory, and marketing alignment.
  • Lead and develop Sales Managers and Consultants, creating a high-accountability, high-performance culture built on coaching and daily structure.
  • Own CRM discipline and lead response standards, ensuring follow-up compliance, appointment conversion, and showroom effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with F&I and Fixed Operations leadership to ensure seamless deal flow, product penetration, and long-term guest retention.
  • Partner with the General Manager on forecasting, staffing strategy, inventory mix, and long-term growth initiatives.
QualificationsExperience
  • 5+ years of progressive automotive sales leadership
  • Prior Sales Manager or GSM experience in a high-volume environment
  • Proven record of exceeding sales targets and managing strong PVR performance
  • Toyota experience preferred, but high-volume import leadership is highly valued
